No not really, they don't read music, but it does have a certain sense of groove to it, but they can be just not as a dj so no i guess.
:lol: Anyway, no I don't. :|I consider a jug an instrument; so my standards aren't that high.
DJ = musician imo

The definition of a musician is someone who plays a musical instrument as a profession. So the question is, is a turntable a musical instrument?TheDuffman26That depends on whether it's used to play music. :P
Yes,of course.The majority of people who say they aren't just don't understand it.DJ'ing and Turntablism is really misunderstood.And it also depends on what type of kind of DJ'ing your talking about.
And yes,the Turntable can be maniupulated to where it's a musical instrument.I think so.Watch the documentary "Scratch".It's really good,and explains the true form and culture of DJs really well.

Since when is reading music the only criteria to be a musician?
And yeah, DJ's are musicians.
There are plenty of musicians in the past who didn't know how to read music.For instance,the drummer for The Funk Brothers didn't.The Funk Brothers were the band that basically were responsible for the whole Motown music movement in the 60's.No not really, they don't read music, but it does have a certain sense of groove to it, but they can be just not as a dj so no i guess.
