My sacrificing doesn't really have to do with being unable to bear to see them suffering, but more desiring them not to have to suffer at all. If I saw someone suffering, I would do everything in my power to stop it.

If that is what it would take and it would genuinely stop it, yes.
But then again, my existence could be more useful living and helping many others without dying... it would be more of a spontaneous gut reaction to a situation that wouldn't allow for much rational thinking. Like if someone was about to get hit by a truck and the only way I could save them was to push them out of the way and get hit myself.

Hmmmm...well that is a problem as I don't have anybody I love at the moment. I suppose I would though as it would be nice to contribute something to the living world before I go. Might as well go out saving somebody even if it was just a stranger.

There is a motto of the coast guard that says "So others may live" which I think pretty much describes why I would die for someone even if it's a stranger. The most noble thing a human being can do is to sacrifice their own life for another.

It all depends on the circumstances. As in everyday life, you have to deal with ultra-opinionated right-wing conservatives on here too, just as you would have to deal with such nightmares in your everyday ordinary life.

I was always amazed when in WWII somebody chucked a grenade at the sergeant and then all of the sudden a private jumps and lays flatdown on the grenade and get's blown to pieces only to save the sergeant...where do you get the guts to do that? Alot of us says yes because we really think we can but wait till we're in that sutation and then either that persons die or you die. Which one? I still stand by my descision which is yes but I don't know if I will be able to give my life up for someone else...Only true heroes die for another not for fame or glory.
Yeah I would die for someone else but I would have to do it in such a way that it isn't a waste. I probably would risk my life for someone I don't even know but I suppose it depends on the situation.
I don't know. That's a really tough one to call on the spot. If they wouldn't die for me, it makes me a better person if I would for them, so the world would benefit more from my survival :P I'm pretty sure I wouldn't die for some total random stranger though.
