They are extremely difficult to eat without looking like some sort of wilderbeast. If you had to eat one at a public restaurant, would you? Or would you try getting something a bit easier to eat like a salad?

They are extremely difficult to eat without looking like some sort of wilderbeast.judog1...What? :? Um, yeah, I would and I have plenty of times...
Of course I would, they are even better when they are fully loaded. HexedPelicanYou see that is the problem. You have to get everything on your fork just right or else it will fall off. Then you have to keep on putting all of the good stuff on it over and over again to keep it from getting dry.

I´d use a knife and fork. no need of face-rolling on the poor potato.

I would be much more comfortable eating in public if everyone just face-rolled their baked potatoes.

hell yeah. we are so ahead of our world :PI'd rather get a salad just because I like salad a lot more than I like baked potatoes. But since you've asked, yes I would and have eaten baked potatoes in public. [QUOTE="Pirate700"]
I'd eat anything in public.
must...resist...sexual...innuendo...:x LOL, I felt the same way.How is eating a baked potato messy and weird to eat in public? I don't understand...
There are some things that are messy when eating in public. Spaghetti is one of them. Sometimes you get the big long noodles and you can only get about half of the noddles in your mouth and the other half are hanging out. Then you have to do the lip pressing thing to break the noodles with your mouth. Then you get spaghetti sauce on your chin.
Or eating steak. Sometimes you get a bite with a ton of fat on it and you keep chewing and chewing but the peice of meat isn't breaking up... so you need to spit it out. At least that happens to me sometimes.
Maybe I just suck at eating.
hard to eat? Not really, just use a fork and knife. I like the skin, so I usually just cut mine in slices and eat it like that.
If you dont eat the skin, just scoop the insides out...its like nature gave you a bowl filled with creamy goodness. How is it hard to eat?
My english teacher would eat a raw potato or microwaved one to soften it during passing periods/ before our class after lunch. He's a short man but a work out buff.
Heres him ripping a phone book during school. (wow i had to edit c-l-as-s because of the last 3 words? replacing it with the word school, how lame..)
I don't care how silly i look. i eat whatever i feel likeThey are extremely difficult to eat without looking like some sort of wilderbeast. If you had to eat one at a public restaurant, would you? Or would you try getting something a bit easier to eat like a salad?

I still can't figure out how it's hard to eat. You just cut a slit in the middle and use your fork to mix around the insides a bit. Put your toppings on it and mix it in a little. It's no different from eating mashed potatos...

i know! the potato is like the banana, it was almost designed to be eaten cleanly and efficiently.

Generally not an issue for most people over the age of 5.

lol... that reminds me...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4yBvvGi_2AAnd how does everyone feel about their muffins? eating those in front of people and stuff..KiIIyouI'm more concerned about sandwiches. I mean what if food falls out the back of the sandwich. Then you just look embarrassed because you couldn't keep your food from fall out from between the two buns. I guess they moral here is don't eat sandwiches in public.
