Would you ever consider suicide as a last option?

Sure. If I were paralyzed (Locked-in syndrome), or in a situation similar to the one portrayed in "Johnny's Got His Gun", I would wish to die.

Yes, I agree, if it's ritualistic suicide like seppuku, then it's bad ass. It's also for the most part water against a stone in terms of creating change in a situation, and so in a major respect, useless. This guy is a good example.

I think most of the suicides, however, are done by people who are too depressed to function properly, and not smart enough to seek help. They are a sorry lot, full of selfishness and woe. They hurt people close to them by the mere fact that they act so unloved. They eventually die by their own hands, as a last act of selfishness, and continue to hurt the ones that loved them far after their own intolerable pain has ended.

Maybe. I'm terrified of dieing. I'd have to completely lose hope and believe that I was suffering or about to suffer a fate worse than any death.Mamudoon

Yeah me too. Not sure though, this is coming from very personal and intimate knowledge of such a thing.

Depends on the situation..if there are guys that i can kill..i'd probably try that first..

Who said that the help would benefit them...some people can't be helped...that's the ideal...

If they feel unloved maybe it's because no one actually loves them?...

Or maybe the person they love left them...there are too many variables to make a generalization like that..

Actually the term "Suicide Thread" in the rules refers to a thread containing highly offensive material (i.e. porn) made with the sole purpose of having the OP's account banned.

Threads ABOUT suicide are acceptable, I believe.

Actually very good point. I guess this would also be the 2nd situation in which I'd want to.

I doubt I will. I will go on a killing spree of young men who walk about in sports wear gear and walk like they are holding two invisible rolled up carpets, baseball cap or beanie and ugly gold necklace. If I reached a point where I stopped caring, I use it to my advantage to do the things I always wanted to do.

I have been very depressed on occasion and all that but I would never commit suicide because of something as minor as that. Not trying to undermine anyone's problems but really, life is wonderful. Dying sucks, man. IMO. Someone mentioned Johnny Got His Gun, if I had a condition like that I would perhaps think that.

That's not suicide, that's sacrifice. But interesting point. If the choice came between me and a group of people I don't know, no matter how many within boundaries I wouldn't have to think twice about my choice. Someone I love quite dearly however... I don't really know. Probably?
