This question is too general. It depends on way too many factors like who it is, the situation, the mood you are in.. etc.

I would not save a random person.
I might save a loved one.
I definately would save my son/daughter/wife.

It depends.

If it would save a very close friend or a close family member/relative, then yeah. If it's a random stranger, I'd do my best to help the person, but I wouldn't risk my own to save someone I don't know.

It sounds kind of harsh, but whatever.

I'm the kind of person who would be "most likely to try and interrupt a group of people beating up a single person" and get my own arse handed to me, though, if that counts for anything.

Why? If you die when saving another person there will still be one person less and peoples feeling will still get hurt except instead of hurting some random familys feelings, you're making your own family suffer.

Come on, its your life, maybe its because you are religious, where I am not, but even then, its not cuz you dont give your life for someone that you wont go to paradise. Also, if you believe in reincarnation, for example, are you sure in your beliefs that youll risk to die for someone when you may just die, and it ends there????

HYPOCRITES. My answer: NO, even for my family or friends, thats completly absurd to think otherwise, if they love you, they wouldnt want you to sacrifice yourself for them just so they can live.

Absolutely. I know that if I were to die right now I would be in heaven with my LordJesus Christ, but I don't know that the person in question will be saved. I have to let them have the chance to be saved.

ADDED LATER: And if I didn't, I know I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I had knew I had the chance to save someone but I didn't. And adding to that: I know I'm going to die. But if I get a chance to die for something, for something that really means something... I will.

The girl i love, I would give my life for her without thinking, she claims she would do the same for me, but I'm not to sure about that =p. But if it came down to it, she would get my last breath no questions asked
