I would probably try and be a blacksmith for weapons and armor and make some shiny, kick ass stuff for top ranking soldiers.

I would want those damacus steel swords since they could chop whole torsos in half easily. The Knights of the Hospitaller were the most elite unit of all the knights during the Crusades, but I wou;d go for Altair.

The Muslims had better swords that essentially had carbon nanotubes. The Muslims were on the defensive since they were the ones being invaded. The First 3 crusades were fought against the Muslims buy for the 4th Crusades, the Europeans went to Constantinople and attacked the Eastern Orthodox Christians, not Muslims. It was more justified to be on the Muslim side, since they weren't the ones invading Europe. Since the Crusades support of the Roman Catholic Church dwindled.

Besides, no matter the religion, I often see them (religious establishments such as the church)as political tools more so then spiritual tools, so I would look at the church and thier reasons, and then I would think "heck no"

you def would of had to fight in the crusades but if i had a choice i def wouldnt not fight in it. it was on of the most brutal wars to date

For some reason this thread reminds me of the stupidest crusade ever. The pope supossedly had a vision of children or something and decided he should have a children crusade. So he gathered up a bunch of ten year olds and shipped them of to Israel. They were basically all killed in a couple days. Realy Mr. Pope? A children crusade? Were you on heroin that day?
