Would you let your bf/gf kiss other people? (If they had to?)

For some strange reason ALL of my gf's have been drama students. My most recent one asked me today (After a rehersal for a play where she has to kiss a guy), whether or not it bothered me. Personally, I dont really care, but I know plenty of guys who would. So I thought it would be an interesting topic to ask OT about.

Would you mind if your gf/bf kissed other people?

What if you ended up having to watch the play/rehersals?

Under circumstances like that it's understandable, I can see myself still getting a bit jealous though. I'm just the type to do so.

I would get jealous, but that's understandable.

If she's acting, then it's okay.

But if she had to make out with her co-star, then...

I can understand it but i'd still get jealous. Especially if it's someone she hangs around with a lot.

I wouldn't mind the kiss in the acting or the sort of casual greeting/departure kiss to male friends to be honest. Anything beyond that and I'll likely become a little jealous.

Not saying she's a prostitute, but you could also use the same argument that prostitutes are paid to do certain acts with other people. Doesn't make it right. If she has to kiss other guys while she's in a relationship with a guy, doesn't make it right just because it's her job. I don't see how you could possibly justify that. Of course it's not ok.

There's a very large difference between a kiss during a stage act and making a living having sex with people.

The point is you're doing outside the relationship that would normally be considered cheating. Doesn't even matter if you have feelings for the person. But it's ok to be do it because it's your job.

Relationships aren't a black and white thing. You really cannot compare kissing someone on-stage to having sex with multiple people every single night.

Personally, we all have different personalities and thus different take on such circumstance. My take on this is that a kiss for me is more than just the act itself. It is a sign of love but not necessarily always but I believe a kiss is kept for someone special to one rather than the relatives and family . A kiss on another guy while she is on a relationship would hurt me a lot since it can signify that she can replace me and and let another guy into her life.They say that it can start with a kiss...I believe so. And of course, I would be jealous. I would feel that she thinks more of me if she turned downed that role or requested for a compromise on that act.

You can never know what someone is really thinking, which is why I would simply have to trust my partner. You will always be attracted to other people while in a relationship but at the end of the day, it's your partner that you love and vise-versa. Personally, I'd feel like a douche if they gave up on doing something they enjoy just to reassure me of their love.

If she had to do it in something like that, yeah I would be bothered. I wouldn't stop her, though.cheesyjon

yeah i would mind, but if it was for a play, and she told me it was going to happen, i would not be bothered by it.

If it was for a role in a movie/play/show I could care less.

If it was acting, I wouldn't care at all. I don't get jealous. I don't know if it's my ego or what, but I wouldn't care if she kissed somebody during a play, because I know she is coming home with me. Or maybe I'm just naive.

I can't really think of a lot of situations where I would be okay with that although in TC's case it would be acceptable.

Would I let her? No, I OWN HER, and she's gonna do what I tell her to do!

Seriously though...it might make me a bit uncomfortable, but she's gonna do what she's gonna do. Realistically, if she sees acting as a potential career, then any attempts by me to demand that she not kiss other men is likely to force her into deciding between me and her career. And...realistically that's a scenario in which I end up losing her and then she goes and makes out with other men anyway.
