In North Carolina, they're experimenting with a program that pays teen girls a dollar for every day that they don't get knocked up.

To be eligible, you must:

• be a girl between the ages of 12 and 18
• never have been pregnant before
• be currently enrolled in school
• have a stated desire to attend college
• and (here's the curious one) have a sister who gave birth before she turned 18

I'm sure that's the reasoning behind it. Of course, the funny thing is: the sister who gave birth was the sort of girl the program was supposed to be geared towards.

I think we shouldlet the girls and boys deal with the consequences of their actions.if 25,000 12 year olds sign up for this and are with it until they turn 18, it would cost taxpayers over 50,000,000 dollars...aren't most states having financial problems?
