As in instantly you lose $1,000 and whatever happened on the worst day of your life doesn't happen. I dont have $1,000 right now but if I did I know I sure would because the worst day of my life was a death in the family. How about you?

What about the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. worst days of your lives? You wanna buy them away too? I think every experience is a chance to grow as a person.

Honestly i dont think someone dying makes you grow as a person i just think it flat out sucks.

^this. Don't know about you guys but when something bad happens to me, I use it to make myself a better, stronger person. Bad things are gonna happen regardless, no point in trying to run from them.

I disagree. Well, it does suck, but it also teaches you to cope with loss.[QUOTE="FPSunionOWNS"][QUOTE="Infinite_Souls"]

I disagree. Well, it does suck, but it also teaches you to cope with loss. and how would your entire family dying, pets dying, house goes on fire, and losing everything worth less than a lesson of coping over loss? Great now I am stronger, but my family is still dead.I disagree. It wouldn't be the worst day of your life because you wouldn't have a 2nd, 3rd, or fourth. What about the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. worst days of your lives? You wanna buy them away too? I think every experience is a chance to grow as a person.

I don't think there are many people who wouldn't pay $1000 to get rid of the worst day of their life.
I think we should make this more like 100,000 or more to make it a little more interesting.
It depends. What exactly would happen on that day? What could I learn from it? Would it lead to anything positive later on, another day?
Lots of factors to consider, but if it involved me getting robbed or something happening that has me losing more then $1000, then it would make more sense for me to spend the $1000 now and keep whatever I didn't lose right?
I can't help feeling like I'd be paying $1000 to only delay the inevitable. Say my worst day was a family death like your example TC, would my $1000 make all my family members immortal as part of the bargain?
Or are we talking $1000 to wipe the memory of the bad day ala Eternal Sunshine?
Ultimately we are defined not by what we learn when life is perfect, but by how we respond to adversity and whether we learn anything when it hits. Obviously there are inevitabilities in life, such as the death of those we love, but even in that situation there exists a chance to learn something valueable.
So no, I'd not trade anything to avoid the worst day of my life.
Yes I would. Heck, I would pay a thousand bucks a week! That would leave me broke but if that day never happened than I could easily afford it.
