Nah, I'll rather have the real person be in front of me.kluspsAnd if they're dead? This could lead to an entirely new revenue stream for the music industry, and get them to shut up about piracy. Just think... the Beatles? Elvis? People would easily fork out money to see that, even if they know it isn't real.
Depends on the price and whether or not there will be some live performances to go with it. Tupac wasn't the main attraction; there were other real rappers present when they had his hologram performing.
Give it 50 years and we will probably be watching holographic motion pictures.

It might appeal to some people but I personally think you'll lose some of the "spirituality" of a live in-person performance
If it was Dre's show, sure, I might consider paying to see Tupac's hologram (along side real performers like Cochella), but I'm not about to pay the company that made the hologram and the venue just to watch fake Tupac. I bet Suge Knight wish he would of thought of that hustle years ago. He would've had Tupac's hologram performing 50 cities in one night and been rolling in all kinds of dough.
Suge is still saying Tupac is alive. If it was Dre's show, sure, I might consider paying to see Tupac's hologram (along side real performers like Cochella), but I'm not about to pay the company that made the hologram and the venue just to watch fake Tupac. TacticaI
programs rarely are, but when was the last time you saw a live movie or cartoon? this will have its place.wouldn't be the same as a live performane

I'd rather see a well done tribute band or performer. I've seen a Beatles tribute last year and it was fantastic. I would never pay to see the Beatles as a hologram with the studio track playing. That would be pointless.
No. I'd rather use that money to buy a computer or phone that uses hologram technology. Ever since I saw the hologram computer terminals being used by the crew of Pioner 2 in Phantasy star online, ive always wanted to use holographic computer screens
This reminds me of the Hatsune Miku concert.
And boy do fans get defensive about that.
PsychoLemons
lol that's what I thought of too when I read the title of this thread. I'm not a fan of Hastune Miku and the music but it sure is entertaining to watch for some reason.
I only paid money to goto ozzfest once and that was enough to convince me no concert is worth the money.
As much as i loved my terrible sunburn and being covered in sweat while squinting to get a good view of the stage, i think i would rather have stayed home and listened to the mp3 in my recliner with the air conditioning cranked.
Although i would certainly be much more inclined to see a concert performed by a hologram, because that actually sounds somewhat interesting.... and while i can watch live performances on youtube... i dont have the technology to recreate a performance by a hologram in my own home.
