If you could rob a bank without getting caught....would you?
This topic is locked from further discussion.
If I have 100% confidence that I won't get caught, yes I would. Unfortunately, my confidence that I could pull it off is in the negative....
Also, if I have absolutely nothing to lose and a very short amount of time to live, I'd probably do it if given the opportunity....
Of all crimes its probably the least morally wrong to rob a bank, considering everyon's money is insured and only the bank loses the cash (banks that are responsible for our economic climate).
Even if I couldn't get caugh though, I'd need to launder the money through a front and wash it. I mean, I know someone who has a big business that could help, but I'd have to split my take, unless you mean I couldn't get caught at all and all the money is mine.
If no one got hurt then sure. I like to think I'm a good person, but robbing a bank? Even the greatest saint could do that, then just give it to charity or whatever.
If I knew that I had a 100% guarantee that I wouldn't get caught, then I would but sadly that's not the case. I could use the money.ExoticAnimalSame.
I feel like it wouldn't be too hard to rob a bank when you look at it historically. Banks get robbed a lot, but its not like they have a whole SWAT team outside, so anyone with a plan could probably get away with it, the guys who started the North Hollywood shootout come to mind. They were able to rob a bank (or banks, don't remember if it was more then one) and get completely scot free because of some masks, some planning and some timing.
Its the huge penalty with the risk that stops people from doing it, as well as the fact that a LOT of bank robbers tend to be idiots.
You did twice :'( I don't understand. I'm so confused. But, the best attitude is "I'd try anything once"Never say never.

You probably know this already, but stealing is a sin. :P It doesn't matter who you steel it from or what you do with it.
Anyways, I don't think I would.
probably yes. i don't think i'd feel guilty at all for annoying a bank, provided no one was hurt.
but then again....money really, really can't buy happiness i don't think. sure it can help, but you can always be richer. so at some point in life, you just gotta decide to try and be happy no matter what.
Yes yes I would. Even if the chance of getting caught was a bit high, I live in Sweden so I'd probably only get like 2-3 years in a hotel room.
It just is though. Try living a normal life without money.I would not. Money is not everything.

[QUOTE="glowingsplint"]Yes yes yes. If I were to steal from the bank without getting caught, I could not live with the guilt. All those people working for it and I just get to steal a bunch? Nah ah.Your better working for your money that way you know the value of it
tepni
But you start up a rat baby care foundation and then live guilt free.

It is not.
Sure, living a "normal" life without money would be very difficult for the vast majority if people. But money most certainly is NOT everything (by definition of everything).

Robbing banks is very hard work.
Hahahahahaha.excellent point.I think the whole point is redundant anyway, I mean how much sperm does a person need? It has limited uses.

Why? Why did you do that?
[QUOTE="Alter_Echo"]
Yes. Who in the hell wouldn't?

Me.
Being completely honest..... my answer was yes before I even saw the "with no chance of being caught" part.

I did not question your honesty. I answered your question. ;)
Edit: Unless, you were not specifying and were instead asking me a question. Yes, I honestly would not rob a bank.

Nah. Some people ( you for example ) have a moral compass. I do not. I was just saying that I would probably rob one even without the assured chance of getting away with it. I daydream about it all the time but hate the thought of prison more than I hate being broke. If I even remotely thought I could get away with it I probably would.
I wouldn't though. I'd be that guy who bumped into 4 cops going out the door on the first job.
