Would you save your best friend if you could?

Sometimes in life, friendships can be tested, especially when fate intervenes.

Hypothetical scenario:

You have found out your best friend is in the hospital, and is in critical condition.

He needs a kidney transplant, and his blood type matches yours.

Would you give your best friend one of your kidneys, since it has been medically proven we can function with one?
