Would you say John Lennon's the King of Rock?

Here's something that we should all celebrate. Why don't they have a day to commorate the real king of rock's birthday? Thing about it, what is it that Elvis had going for him? John Lennon, he did Imagine, the Beatles, and Elvis did cover songs and he didn't write any of his stuff, maybe a few, but were any of them as big as John's? Just saying, John should be the new king of rock.

Cause he had image.. The dancing, just all the stuff he did that transended his actual music. While Chuck Berry was definately like one of the inventors of rock.. he wasnt a "rock star" like elvis was if you know what I mean

No he was a redefiner of rock to a point though. Buddy Holly was the king of rock.

I'd say "The King of Rock" rightfully belongs to Elvis.

No x100. I mean, first off, he really didn't do that much rock. He played a lot of different genres but it was mostly just pop songs. He's far from the world's greatest guitarist, and he never really "rocked out". John always performed very calmly, and he pretty much always played the music the way it is on the album. Sure you can say that now but only because freakin every artist over the past 40 years has tried emulating him and the beatles in every way.
