Sure, anyway you interpret .5 millileter it's going to be really tiny.
.5 millimeter (assuming a scaled down 9mm) would be less than 2% of the size of any common handgun bullet I'm aware of.
.5 milliliter, I guess would mean that it would displace .5 milliliters of water.  Again, really tiny, not much power.

So, unless that thing has some really tremendous muzzle velocity, it shouldn't really be capable of doing much. ;)

 Well, technically, I wouldn't have to do anything for the rest of my life... 

I like what I do, and I love my family.  So possibly getting out of working isn't a reasonable exchange for me to loose all that.
