Would you stay with your love if you found out they werent the gender they said?

In other words, would you stay with the love of your life who you'd been with for oh, 10 years, if you found out they weren't the gender they led you to believe? Why or why not? Considering nothing would change, and the 10 years of happiness would prove it didn't really make a difference, I don't really know. I'm straight, but I don't think I could simply end a relationship like that, it would be difficult. I don't know, Ican't even begin to comprehend what I would do in the situation to be honest.

EDIT: I'm implying they got a sex change at some point before dating you in case that wasn't clear.

EDIT 2: Okay, not 10 years. Any amount of time, it doesn't matter, what matters is you're very happy and content with person beforehand.

No way, and I think 10 years is pretty long for someone who is focused on one person to not notice they look oddly like their opposite gender.

This. She is a woman, just like she said. What you identify as defines your 'gender'. Your 'sex', on the other hand, is the physical body you were born with and cannot truly be changed.

Eeh, I take life lightly, If its a person I truely love Id adjust, I would likely just look at myself in the mirror and say something like "Oh you dog you, I never knew you were like that" shave myself, and go on with the life and whoever my true love was.

If it worked well for 10 years why would I kick them to the curb over that? It is something totally minor compared to abusing drugs, being an alocoholic, or being bipolar. Now it would be a shock that is for sure but if someone told me that I would take it as a sign of trust since that is something that I'm sure they really don't want to talk about.

It isn't hating but just very hard to deal with. An aunt lived with me growing up who was very bi-polar and didn't take her medication. One minute she would be really happy and the next she would be taking a knife to her trash can. Someone being born in the wrong body is a lot easier to deal with compared to that don't you think?

Have you ever seen the show Nip Tuck? Kinda reminds me of that. The one guys kid was dating this chick and they had sex and stuff and then the other guy ends up having sex with her and he automatically knows she was a he because she wasn't deep enough like a regular girl. Then he has to tell the kid this chick he has been with didnt use to be a girl always. That's impossible to answer without experiencing it. Being in love and sharing mty life with someone for 10 years ... I imagine the shock for me would come from the lying and deciet, not so much the actual issue. If I though they were a girl for all that time it'd be impossible to see them as anything else, sooo yeah the lying I guess would be the main issue.

Whether a person has had a sex change or not does not concern me in the slightest. Especially if we had been together for ten years already. It's hardly a good reason to break up.
