To anybody whose every written strategy game guide; I'm thinking about making a new site that allows people to revenue share off the guides they write. Called www.pwnguide.com My question is would you submit your guide here or what percent of the revenues would the site have to share for you to consider posting the guide there instead of the normal gamefaqs or neoseeker.

Anyways good idea or bad?

Personally, I think a guide requires too much work. Although I do write reviews on occasion and that's pretty cool.

But hey, good luck with everything.

Hey thanks dracula_16,

Just curious but would you ever consider writing reviews on the site if we did a revenue sharing with people who wrote the reviews?

I would write a guide or review for whatever was needed, especially if I was paid. Working at a place like gamespot is like a dream job.

I have nothing to do with this site beyond the forums, after the whole Gerstmann-gate fiasco.

that what fiasco?but anyway i don't think i would ever write a guide .

Gerstmann-gate? When long-time Gamespot editor Jeff Gerstmann was fired due to (according to rumors) Ubisoft being angry over his review of Kane & Lynch?

how would you determine how much each writer gets paid? if not done propery, people would start rushing their guides just so they can make a lot of them and get paid. guide writing must be a labor of love.

We actually payout based on the ad revenue they generate minus the server costs etc. Basically if people like your guide and keep reading it they get paid more. I would think if people rushed the guides they wouldn't get much money because none would go read the guides. We also could put in a rating system

I have always wanted to right a game guide but I never could devote enough time to it.
