i'd teach them to be a good person but i think everyone should be able to do what they want with there life.

so not exactly like me, i'll go for the unique personality option.

Could you imagine my offspring. A swarm of writhing, wriggling, wiffles. I was a very well behaved child and very obedient. I'd think if my children were to be like me it'd be alright.

My parents never enforced their values and principles on me. I won't do that to my children. I think the repression of new ideas is horrible (no matter how bad the idea is).

in some ways it is guarenteed they will be like me.....in attitude and how you deal with adversity.....that's where you set your examples.....other than that...they are both their own person.....and completely different from each other....

I would like them to share my passion for science and knowledge. Beyond that though, I don't care that much. I'd encourage them to find what they like and pursue that.

I'd like my kids to have a similar upbringing like me - middleclass, no real restrictions but still firm rules that stand by, learn to cook proper and not depend on others but themselves. As for personalities. No. I don't want them to be like me. I'm weakminded, introverted, shy, aggressive and mentally unstable at certain points/certain episodes IRL. I want my kids to have self-respect and self-love(not in an overly narcissistic way) and not tolerate being bullied or bully back.

TheShadowLord07
I didn't. I wanted to be a cowgirl, riding on a magical unicorn, with a lasso of truth (not the mediocre kind that Wonder Woman uses) and guns that never failed at hitting their target. With a batman cloak and utility belt..

Personally no, but I would not care what they turned out to be.

Unless my son became a singer at the age of 15, and was some little puss puss like some people. I would shun him from my life.

Even the thought of having children sends a shiver down my spine. I'm way too much of an emotionally-detached sociopath who ruins the lives of anybody who associates with me. Why would I want to bring another, younger version of me into the world?

My thoughts on the subject as well. I am a genetic freak of nature, where am I going to find a woman that can match that and produce children equal? Too improbable.

Well, I don't want kids. If I did, I'd want them to have similar values as me...but if they were born to me I certainly wouldn't want them to be afflicted with OCD or Asperger's.

Both shy and aggressive? And since most humans live in a society, we really do depend a lot on each other, from sentimentality and emotional support to getting an education and learning various skills. Did I mention that we can't survive on our own when we're born?

Personality? I'd want them to be similar to me, but to have their own separately formed characteristics.Physically? Only the best parts of my husband and me :PBeliefs? I'd always be there to offer my opinion, but I certainly wouldn't impose it

I don't really want children though....Or at least not for a very long time.

Them act like me? Good god. That would be bad. I don't even want to imagine. He would be a smartass, rude, annoying, selfcentered person in public and never tell anyone his real thoughts. That would be very difficult.

A simple answer to this question is no.
