WOW.. i DIDNT think my day could get RUINED

i go to guitar center at 11:30.. get my first guitar, got an amp also..

i come home and i open everything up... its awesome.. i open up the case to the amp and they had around 4 packages of poisonous powder stuff.. i thought ok i thrw them away.. i get the manul to the amp.. its in a plastic pouch with a powder thing taped on.. i had toget the powder thing off to get the pouch open and it RIPS OPEN!!!! powder flys everywhere

i think WTF and clean it all up.. i play my guitar and have fun.. about 5 minutes later i notice im satrtingto break out on my arm. i go WTF again and i walk into bathroom to realize my whol lip is puffd out.. i start to panic thinking it might go in my mouth.. i vacuum up everything.. my whole roomneeds like a cleaning.. i guess im alergic to this stuff.. everywhere it touched got a rash.. it even went through my jeans and onto my leg.

my whole face feels like im in 100 degree weather in the sun.. got ice on me.. hope it oesntget worse and i hav to go to the hospital.. im scared that stuff may have gotten on my bed or somehting.. its crazy that it can do this in minutes...

i guess im better now.. just sorta scared that im getting a little raspy. and my chest feels a little heavy

But yeah allergies suck. Im allerigc to nuts, and if i touch a single nut i could end up hospitalized/dead.

An Ibanez.. pretty nice.. im learning how to play guitar for my senior project.. i like how it matches my ps3. nice and shiny

But yeah allergies suck. Im allerigc to nuts, and if i touch a single nut i could end up hospitalized/dead.

I hada friend I used to work with who would get sick if he smelled peanut butter on my breath. Anyway, TC, you should really find out what that powder is and see a doctor to get some information on your allergies to it. It could end up being very hazardous to your health the next time you come across it.

Sounds like he's talking about Silica. Although it shouldn't be in a powder, more like little transparent beads. It is to absorb humidity in your guitar case (or anything for that matter) because it absorbs water really well.It's also quitefamous for being posionous too.

Nice guitar, and it's worth the money unlike the other thing ;)

I've been thinking of getting an Ibanez soon, really like their design and hear they're easily modified. Currently I got a Fender Strat, Crafter Cruiser and a Crafter Junior. All-around my favourite is the Srat although the Cruiser has an edge for shredding. If you've never played guitar before then I would recommend starting with a £15/$30 cheap acoustic guitar. By beginning this way, your fingers become much better trained at reaching longer distances for fretting while callises (Tough skin on your fingertips) develop at a much quicker pace.
