Wow people are stupid...

My friend who works at Gamestop told me that about twenty people came back to his store demanding their money back for Halo Wars... When he told be why... I said lemme take a guess "They figured it wasn't an FPS right" he said one guy came in the store mad as heck because they sold him a game and that it's not Halo, and they told the guy that he couldn't get full price back for the game, so he threw it down and left out...

They could have easily looked at the back cover and seen that it wasn't an FPS...I think that 20 people is a bit of an exaggeration, though.spazzx625

About almost a decade ago or so, before the PS2 was released, I recall a kid in one of the local city's game retail shops who was browsing through the games. I had gone in to pick up my copy of Harvest Moon: Back To Nature that I had pre-ordered and he was watching as I picked the game up and paid the remaining amount required. As I thanked them and went to browse through the other games to see if there was anything else new, I heard the kid asking about Harvest Moon, he was asking if there's a lot of killing in it and if it had swearing.
When he was told there wasn't any, he askedwhy it was called Harvest Moon when it didn't have any killing like Body Harvest, he actually thought it was a sequel to that old gem. He stormed out saying that gaming was for wimps because he couldn't find a violent game to play.

And I remember in a gaming magazine, must have been in the early or late 90s, when someone sent a letter in to the publishers asking if they could make a game to his liking. They replied saying that they don'tmake the games, they just review them.

There's stupid and there's beyond belief stupid.

I really wouldn't be surprised if it where true. I hang out at a game shop, and I saw at least 5 people in the span of about 3 hours wanting to buy Halo Wars thinking it was a FPS, but since the employees there are actually really helpful they informed those people that it was not actually a FPS.

i guess they just saw 'halo' and though it was the same. it could happen if your not a serious gamerswiftkillz0

They could sell a disc with one picture as long as it has HALO on it. People should seriously pay attention to what they buy.

I understand why it's happening but it's the persons fault. Paper Mario isn't a 2D platformer even if it may seem like it just because of the cover. So what? Look at the back you poor fool.

That is probably my favorite Harvest Moon game.

But back to the topic yea...people are stupid. And how do you not know Halo Wars isn't RTS? It's been on like multiple magazines, game sites, etc.

Or the back cover.

Well, I was at EB Games (Canadian version of GameStop) once and on the day when Metroid Prime 3 came out. I was browsing through some games when suddenly this kid comes out of nowhere and looks at the boxart of Metroid Prime 3. The next thing I knew was hearing him say "OMG they copied Halo!"

Metroid has been around longer than Halo by like way over a decade and yet people can be this ignorant.
