Here are some quotes from this June 2008 thread. (Don't bump it):
--------
--------
-AK47-: I don't know, but his music is great.
-
aaronmullan: Not sure.
-
EMOEVOLUTION: I think that basing opinions and judgements against people who we have no actual knowledge of other than what the media tells us is a very foolish and absurd way to go about things. Innocent until proven guilty doesn't exist and never has existed. There is no reason to make any kind of conclusion on this issue because none of us has enough information.
-
SpaceMoose: Well, he has never been convicted, and in all honesty I wouldn't put it past people to accuse someone rich of something that is hard to prove in the hopes of getting a settlement, especially someone whose behavior is rather unusual to begin with.
I don't know what to think, but I've also never really given a crap enough to pay a whole lot of attention to all the Michael Jackson coverage either.
PannicAtack: What he said ^
-
MrGeezer: If he was guilty, he would have been convicted.
So in other words, he's innocent.
-
Sam_Lowery: Well here's the thing, when Michael Jackson was a kid his father never let him have any celebrations, not even on his birthday, and he never was allowed to receive presents. All because of some whacked out religion his father was into. So that really screwed him up and when he grew up he wanted to help kids have the fun that he never got a chance to experience when he was a kid.
Is he sexually attracted to kids, maybe, but I don't think he molested that kid that who's family brought charges against him because That kid's family also tried to extort money from some other famous person but I forgot who.
-
Tolwan: I think he's innocent. I just think he's a valid wacko. I think what some of the psych guys that were on the media long ago were right. He's felt robbed of his childhood is whole life and he's reverted to some child-like state. I think when he was hanging out with those kids, he himself was trying to be a kid. I think the most he did was actually act like a kid himself, and never did anything with actual intent to harm a child. Unfortuanatly, as was said back then, we live in a society where a male parent or adult being friendly with a child and being nurturing or caring in a more close way is "disgusting".
It seems that is right only reserved for women.
