This speech should definitely go down in the history books. One section of it, details a main problem in the west and shows a the grave threat western society faces.

your thoughts?

its because he speaks with such poise and self confidence, and gives a real feeling of caring about this country and its people when he talks, its very moving i think.

Did anyone click on the link to even bother reading the speech. It sounds like you guys are talking about Obama, someone mentioned change. I'm talking about the speech by Cardinal Ratzinger in the Missa Pro Eligendo Romano Pontificie. You know the "dictatorship of relativism" speech.

I still don't know if ppl think that the OP is talking about Obama cuz he ain't. And if the course of discussion I think some ppl so far about 75% of them that I think that they are.

And I still don't see any action from Obama besides a lot of talk. If his liberal voting record shows anything then be prepared for the worst as in spending more and more and more aka taxes.

And the OP had an article by some Cardnial

No, I did this on purpose to coincide with Barack's speech. I used the title to get people to think it was a speech by Obama, when really it wasn't because I wanted to see if people would bother to click on the link or if they would jump to conclusions.

Well him and Obama have one thing in common: they like talking about hope. Obama wrote a book entitled "the Audacity of Hope" while Benedict wrote an Encyclical entitled "Spe Salvi" ( Saved by Hope). Also Hope is a major theme of Barack's campaign, and the theme of Benedict's visit to the U.S. was "Christ our Hope".
