So, any thoughts?
Gotta suck to be the writer of what many say is 'the worst song ever'
This topic is locked from further discussion.
I think it's partly true. I love to hate the song."And the truth is, if you look at the numbers...even though people say they hate the song...really, they love it."
Ya, sure thing bro... If it makes you feel better

Figured it was her mom.
It's usually the parents that write this crap for money in expense of the child's dignity.
I love how Ladt GaGa says defends her as "brilliant" in an interview... the music is almost the exact same...
They're both at fault if you ask me. First off, it's not like the guy wrote the worst song of all time or anything like that... >.>
Second of all, Rebecca allowed herself to sing it and have a Youtube video made and put on the Internet. The fact that her parents allowed this to happen to her and the fact that none of the people behind it (including Rebecca) expected it to receive such ridicule is a load of crap.
More than anything, I blame the parents. What parents in their right mind would allow their 13 year old kid to put themselves out there like this and get relentlessly made fun of?
I like how they have to prove to us that he is educated. Doesn't make a difference, the song is still terrible, she choose to sing it, this is just a stupid discussion about who's to blame or what to do about it. It won't go away until you ignore it.
"estimated to have madeat least $20,000fromYouTube ad revenue", please ignore it!!!
I cant remember any worst song than that. And obviously its not hust this guy fault, its everyone in the video. Seriously all the kids in the video annoy me.They're both at fault if you ask me. First off, it's not like the guy wrote the worst song of all time or anything like that... >.>

What I wanna know is where the hell are her parents? What kind of parents allow their 13 year old kid to turn into what is possibly the biggest laughing stock on the Internet to date?
Hell...whenever I sing, my parents always tell me I suck... >.>
What I want to know is... how did this song become so popular? Even IF people hate it? There are a zillion crappy songs out there. A fairly large group of people out there MUST like this song in order for it to be bombarded with hate.
It's kind of like Justin Bieber... because of his popularity, a LOT of people hate him. If nobody listened to him, then why would anybody even care enough to hate him?
I honestly don't get the hate for the song, it's just as bad as 80% of songs that get released these days.

What the hell were the parents to do? They did not have any idea that their daughter's cheesy-ass song would go this viral.Well, sorry isn't going to make my ears stop bleeding!
did i do it right pretending to be a music snob?
MistressMinako
No you have to list the obscure bands you like that no one cars about :P. I don't see what the apology was for anyway. If I received an apology for everytime I heard a bad song alot of metal bands would be overflowing my inbox with letters.

the only kind of apology i'd accept from some metal bands is if they'd promise never to touch a musical instrument again.i could say the same about some rappers, but I don't think musical instrument lessons are mandatory for that kind of profession.
Oh. I must try harder! For real, he doesn't need to apologize for anything. I am sure they still made a lot of money. And like you said, all artists might owe quite a few people some apologies. No you have to list the obscure bands you like that no one cars about :P. I don't see what the apology was for anyway. so very true. i dont understand it EVERYONE claims to hate her yet she has a zillion hits. is well known and now famous. yet she "sucks". i dont get it. i did just listen to the song for the first time....my eyes and ears are now bleeding it is pretty bad. that said im not sure this is the worst song ever conceived. perhaps its the worst most famous song ever conceived? maybe but there is rap which i find completely appalling. What I want to know is... how did this song become so popular? Even IF people hate it? There are a zillion crappy songs out there. A fairly large group of people out there MUST like this song in order for it to be bombarded with hate.
