This seems a bit strange. For last 6 month or so we keep getting letters been delivered what's not ours. It has our adress on but its for rugby club which is down the road from us. At the top of the adress it does say rugby club so we no its not for us but got our adress on. This started 6 month back and been ok for last couple off week and been living here 5 years now. This last week though we have had a letter ever day. I decided to search google maps and entered our adress and google maps took me to the rugby club and not our house. Also surprised that no one has tried coming here instead of the rugby club as that is also a pub. Does this seem strange and how could it happen. The thing what puzzles me is that even google earth says our house is the rugby club.

I believe you are able to contact google to correct this.

Also, you can contact the Rugby Club and Mail service that they are sending it to the wrong place.

Really easy fix if you took the time.

Are you at least taking the mail to the correct address? Or informing the postal delivery service it's coming to the wrong address? Messing with another person/business' mail is a federal crime.

@foxhound_fox:

Yes we have told the rugby club and we are going to sort it out next week. We didn't sort it out be for because it stopped for abit but this last week it started again. It wasn't until Friday I decided to look for our adress on google maps and that's when I found out it was changed on there too. At least we not had any clubbers yet :P

Stuff like this happens from time to time. People rely on services like Google Maps for so much that they get over-reliant on them, even to the point of not using the real world information around them. Here are two separate instances where demolition companies relying on Google Maps accidentally demolished the wrong houses because they didn't bother to read the street signs.

I find it quite amusing and frustrating that those news articles seem to focus on the Google Maps error rather than the fact someone's house was wrongly demolished! What would you even do in that circumstance?
