a couple of things: Emo is also sometimes associated with a certain fashion. The term "emo" is sometimes stereotyped with tight jeans on males and females alike, long fringe (bangs) brushed to one side of the face or over one or both eyes, dyed black, straight hair, tight t-shirts which often bear the names of rock bands (or other designed shirts), studded belts, belt buckles, canvas sneakers or skate shoes or other black shoes (often old and beaten up) and thick, black horn-rimmed glasses.[ Some would say they may cut themselves and are mad at the world for some reason. Basically ppl who r emotional, sensitive, shy, introverted, or angsty. It is also associated with depression, self-injury, and suicide. -wiki
lol a lot of people hate them they are wannabe goths if you ask me jus rejected by society it supposed to mean emotional - if you wanna be emotional paint a picture or play some music.
People who hold the superficial belief that they are depressed, when in reality they aren't. They consequently conform to popular trends and try to differentiate themselves by doing the cliche "dress in black...rebel agianst society" thing. I suppose that some people of that ilk are genuinely depresed, and conform to those standards to get a sense of belonging, but I think that the entire popularity of the trend is a bad thing.
Emo is like an abbrevated of " Emotional ". Sometimes "Emo" People Self Harm, and are Depressed. They tend to wear alot of black clothing, and sometimes do the " Pity Me " Act. It's more of a stereo-type then anything.
I'm surprised you don't know, in today's world. Your stereotypical emo is a sad little person, who wears lots of black make-up, slits their wrists, gets beaten up by chavs, and listens to such music as My Chemical Romance. They are all depressed. Emos evolved from goths, who evolved from punks. Or is that devolved? Last time I checked, no goth could beat good old Vyvian from the Young Ones!
