Excluding Days of Future Past, which was only recently released, First Class is said by a lot of people to be the best X-Men film ever made. However, I disagree with that and think that it's mediocre at best. My personal ranking is as follows:

1. X-Men: Days of Future Past

2. X2: X-Men United

3. X-Men

4. The Wolverine

5. X-Men: First Class

6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

7. X3: The Last Stand

I explain my reasons in detail in the following video. Please watch and listen to what I say.

Serious question, do you watch anything besides summer blockbusters?

Yes, I watch independent dramas a lot. Some of my favorite are the following:

1. The Good Heart

2. Good Dick

3. The Vicious Kind

4. Before The Devil Knows You're Dead.

5. The Place Beyond the Pines

6. We Need to Talk About Kevin

7. Prisoners

I also enjoyed 12 Years a Slave.

This is a blog post, just FYI. You can change it to make it forum-friendly, but as it is, there's nothing to discuss.

Looked at your ranking, glanced over your video spam - there's nothing to discuss.

I'm sorry, is there a question you're trying to ask the forum or something?

It's the OP's job to spark the discussion, not make a blog post and wait for others to do it. You know how forums work broski.

This list is ridiculous. Days of Future Past should not be so low.

I haven't watched First Class in a long time, I'd have to give it a rewatch to see if there is zero indication about angel's defection.

As I said before in your other thread, to me the best part about First Class is getting to explore the relationship between Magneto and Xavier, but admittedly this is supposed to be an action film and the exploration of a relationship does not necessarily make for good action.

Beast has some development in this film, but I would argue that it's not very good. Mystique's development is done well enough, but perhaps they should have saved her choice to go with Eric for the next film.

I haven't seen Days of Future Past yet, but ultimately this is the order I rank the films.

1. X2: X-Men United

2. X-Men

3. X-Men: First Class

4. The Wolverine

5. X-Men Origins: Wolverine

6. X3: The Last Stand

The Wolverine, though good, loses points for basically being pointless to the rest of the films.

@BluRayHiDef:

I would say so for the most part. That being said the more I think about the about the black guy dying, the less I think it was about trying to get the audience to hate the bad guy and more about showing us how powerful he is. As far as I can remember there was not a lot of talk about how terrible it was nor was there dialog about remembering fallen brethren before the final battle. I would absolutely say though that I didn't care much when he died.

I too, thought that X-Men DOFP and United are the best.

I don't know man. I kind of liked that Hugh Jackman was not the main actor in an X-Men movie for once and that it had very little to no references to X1-3 & Origins. Since I seriously disliked all those movies, First Class felt like it had a completely different formula and that in my opinion was refreshing to see. I liked that it was slightly darker too. When Magneto completely changed at the end and betrayed Charles Xavier by trying to kill humans which resulted in Charles getting shot in his spine, I thought that was incredible. They played the last scene on the beach very well too. I really liked that Days of Future Past was more of a sequel to First Class instead of the 4 X-Men movies too. Watching the aftermath of First Class when Charles gave up his ability so that he can walk and gave up on mutants was awesome.

Again, nothing more than a post to advertise your channel. Once, when mods were actually active, this would be against the TOU.

DOFP was a fantastic x-men film. If it's not the best X-men film it's close. I found a few issues with the film but overall it was very well done and incredibly enjoyable. I liked it much more than I did First Class.

First Class did have the advantage of having very big possible consequences for the entire world at the end. X2 built up to that with the team discussing a giant war coming with the president in the Oval Office, but then simply had what amounted to a very large street fight in X3. Honestly what would have even been accomplished if Magneto and his group won? Taken over a small part of a city?

But whatever everyone knows X3 was really bad.

They were trying to kidnap (and kill?) the mutant child whose mutation causes him to nullify the mutations of other mutants. His blood was being used to develop the "Mutant Cure."
