As dercoo said, The Dark Knight was far better directed. I don't know about Spiderman 3 as a point of comparison though; that film wasn't so memorable for me... and I say that despite Spiderman being my all-time favorite comic book hero.

Even still though, The Dark Knight was indeed better. Just such an incredible movie that will be remembered as a milestone for the Superhero movie genre.
First class was DAMN good though and definitely one of my fav superhero movies of all time.

I'll add Steel, Howard the Duck, Tank Girl, etc.
i give my reservations about steel because it stars shaq nothing more saves it.. tank girl & howard the duck do suck i agree i also left out catwoman & daredevil & i also wasnt terribly amused by thor either.. i mean thor was an excuse to make a thor movie to tie up the avengers thing and to put a douchbag in front of a camera nothing more.. the guy who plays thor would make a primo opera singer or actor but the role was all wrong.. he should have been in the romeo & juliet remake , then we should have drugged di caprio so we could pick someon eelse to play thor.. im impartial to the idea of an ACTUAL norwegian bearded actor.. not some germanic hodlum..
Not only is it largely insensitive to the actual era, but it cheaply manipulates the Holocaust for forced emotional gravity and to establish a cliche "evil-mustachioed villain" who litterally(NOT EVEN SYMBOLICALLY) ties to world up and puts in on the train tracks...
Best super hero movie since Spiderman 3.... I really... don't know what to say. From all the superhero movies I have ever watched, The Dark Knight and Watchmen are at the top, and Spiderman 3 is literally at the bottom. I really hope you mean Spiderman 2, because that was the greatest Marvel movies ever created period.

I don't think Ultramarines is a superhero movie.... Yes they are super human, yes they are some sort of a hero, but they aren't really "superhero" in the way we use. Unless that movie has utterly ridiculous portrayal of 40k SM. And you can disagree all you want.

Think you mean Spiderman 1 or 2.. Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Iron Man, original Superman movie, The Crow, probably are the best comic book movies out there..

Exactly!, Batman is a Glorified detective, not a super-hero Batman had glowing eyes at the end and there was the magic trick with the pencil that Joker performs so I think its pretty safe to call it a superhero movie.
Hah, yea, when I read your thread title, I was expecting you to be bashing it, because I thought Spiderman 3 was the worst superhero movie that isn't named Elektra. But, I was pleasantly surprised with First Class. Their casting for Xavier was spot on, and overall an entertaining movie.
