I got the blue screen of death on start-up (even in safe mode), so I tried to use the OS disc's Recovery Console feature, but when it boots from the disc, it says "Press R to activate Recover console" or something like that.

When I press R, nothing happens. It's like the keyboard all of a sudden doesn't work. The same thing is happening when I press ENTER to advance or F3 to quit . . . nothing. Any suggestions?

Yeah, that's the point. I can't reinstall because the keyboard won't work in the CD menu.

Yeah, that's the point. I can't reinstall because the keyboard won't work in the CD menu.

Don't choose R for Recovery Console. Boot from CD, then select the option for installing windows. Then you'll have to format and partition the hard drive, and install windows.

If your keyboard doesn't work at all in Windows Setup, use a different keyboard. Preferably one that isn't USB. You might use a USB to PS/2 adapter.

This is my MacBook, and I don't thing you guys understand.

The keyboard works fine until I get to the screen that says "Press ENTER to continue, R to..."

At that point either the keyboard stops working or the computer freezes.
