After the death of his coach in a really close Russian Roulette training match he has to be coached by an amateur at the sport. During training scenes we get to hear rocky-like theme songs. He is faced with family problems, his wife leaving him for a girl, and moving to Russia to compete in a sport were only winners live. The final scene is a rocky-like climax where one-by.one each competitor is defeated. Then that is followed by a tense final match where the french dude ends up losing and dying and the film ends in a cold shocking way.

So what do you think about this? Any suggestions? :D

I fail to see how someone would need to train for such a thing. Even without that confusion doesn't sound too appealing to me.

If it is set in an alternate universe, it could work. I think you need to work on your ideas a bit more though.

It's not stupid... it's actually set in a alternate universe and I want it to be a black comedy. I have many ideas some good and some bad one, thats the one I came up with today while I was daydreaming at spanish class.

i totally LOVE this idea. however, the only thing that would turn me off of it would be the whole rocky music type thing. i think some sort of soundtrack thats more industrial and dark and gritty would be better. in a film like this, its a fresh idea, dont dumb it down by using someone elses style, cause it seems to me that you have a clear idea in your head how the audiance should be feeling. this could be an awesome cross between quinton tarintino (sp, too lazy to look it up.) and rob zombie. im seeing....boondock saints, the way the camera angles were so artful. do it in your own way, make it totally crazy, add music no one knows, but totally will compliment your story and you have a winner.

How the heck do you train for that? That is probably the worst film idea I have ever seen, and there is a French film about Russian Roullette. Le Boom? Come on now, thats pretty bad lol

Okay fine. How about this: Those who are unfortunate to have their grey matter splattered come back as zombies in the sequel... to have another chance at Russian Roulette. But still, put explosions in it.

Sounds nice, but I would AVOID cliches in a film, especially if you want to differentiate yourself from the crowd. Since you are going for the dramatics in the film, rent Casino, and even Oceans Eleven to see...... Hold on a second, you mean the REAL RUSSIAN ROULETTE!!!!!! oh... I dont think that russian roullet is a sport. When people want to commit suicide they do that.

Well I'm not trying to make a realistic film and it would actually makes sense in the logic of the movie. That being that Russian Roullette is a sport and that people from all over the world prepare themselves for an international anual championship.

^^^^ go away.

Anyway, if you have a passion for it, then the best advice that I can give you is to do more research on those type of things.

Training for a Russian roulette tourney sounds funny, everything else just sounds contrived and I doubt it would work, like the montage, and family issues, and the Rocky stuff, they don't do anything like that for a reason, it's old hat and very cliched, regardless whether it's a farce or not you have to avoid the cliches.

Remove every scene that relates to Rocky and it could be funny.
