I see lots and losts and lots of religion threads here on the OT, but the one religion that I have never seen mentioned here is Nihilism..

I am a Nihilist myself and I think it's what fits me best since I don't care how the past went and something tells me that nobody will ever know any kind of real truth as to how it all started.

If you don't believe in anything like me, I'm happy that someone else doesn't care, but why do people insist on spending their lives worshipping a "god" that probably doesn't exist?

Discuss..

Well technically it is, but I use it as a substitute since I have no religion. Ha :)

Sorta... one of the fundamentals of nihilism is indeed the rejection of objective morality and the assertion that no action is objectively "better" than any other action. It also asserts that existence has no higher meaning or purpose.

I can't say I find it a particularly healthy philosophy.
