Well I've been tired for probably a year and a half now. I can get anywhere from 8-14 hours a sleep and I still feel incredibly exhausted/tired/restless/sluggish when I wake up. I don't feel I get any benefits from sleep like waking up a little refreshed. And I woke up at 3:30 AM today to start my day (because I decided their's no point in sleeping later). I remember what having energy felt like and I haven't had ANY in a year and a half +. My parents don't really care and don't think it's a problem even after complaining to them for so long and telling them that its driving me crazy. They just blame it on random things (playing video games, protein shakes, etc.). They also say that I can't take medicine even if it is prescribed by a specialist, because they think medicine makes things worse. My life's going good, just applied to college with the gpa I worked hard to get, got a gaming pc, family life is alright, etc, so it's not like I am depressed. The only anxiety I have is that no one wants to help. What should I do?

well sometimes over sleeping can cause you to lag a bit..I know if I get anything more than 9hours I'm down and out the next day. But yeah I'd definatly go see someone about this.
What do you do during the day? I know that with myself when I'm not busy I'm tired. When I keep myself busy I'm wide awake not thinking about how tired I might be.mindstorm
im surprised you didnt quote something from the bible.
:P
Do you snore real loudly when you sleep?
Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night gasping for air?
If those things happen to you, you most likely have sleep apnea. I have it and now I get great sleep, except I have to use a machine to help me breathe at night.
Dude, ITS THE PROTEIN shakes! Trust me, i suffered the same symptons as you when i was on those damn shakes and i went to the doctor and he told me about a substance in them that give you mood swings and sleeping problems! Trust me, cut it out for a month and stay on real food and believe me, you'll have energy!
[QUOTE="Amon-Amarth"]Maybe you've got anemia...Mr_Kowaski
is taht a disease people get from watching anime?
Haha wow, you really cracked me up there! :P
Too much video games and protein shakes are bad for getting you to sleep. Try:
A)Changing diet to less protein more vegetables and fruit, 7 portions a day
B) Don't game an hour before you go to bed.
C) Go to bed at a similar time every night and get a routine going.
Medicine makes things better, not worse.Mr_LurkerI beg to differ.... my sleeping pills actually make me feel exhausted the following morning. Sure, I get my 8 hours of sleep, but I still feel like I only got three hours, if not less, because of half a KnockedOutTillTheNextMorning-pill
