you ever been in a car accident ?

I got into one today and omg I feel like such an idiot. I was paying literally no attention to what I was doing on the way to school and rear ended a car stopped at a stoplight. I had also forgotten to get into the right lane. I'm not sure what was going on. It might of been partly because of some allergy medicine I was taking that made me feel loopy but I'm not sure. Luckily I had slowed down enough that the damage wasn't too bad.

Anwyway what experiences with car crashes have you guys had ?

Apparently yes, when I was very young, but I don't remember it.
Also, glad your accident wasn't too bad.

I was rear ended by an idiot on a cell phone. I was stopped and he was going 50mph, it was horrific. It took one of our passengers 6 months to recovery, luckily I was able to see it in the side mirror (I was sitting on the passenger side in the front) and braced myself. I pushed my head back into the head rest, which saved me from whip lash.

Please do not drive and use the phone...

I've been in 4 in about the last two years.

I didn't get hurt in any of them, even though one of them the car smooshed together like a samich, and the other caused the car to barrel roll a few times.

Hit a deer once.

Had venison for dinner.

I was a senior in high school and I was in line to pull out of the school and the traffic was really slow and hit the back of an SUV. Good thing is I was driving a sport version of a plymouth neon so the SUV got no damage and my neon got maybe two small dents, tiny bit of chipped paint and dumb sailboat logo fell off.

like 3 no faults in the past 5 years. people seem to love running into the back of my car at stoplights. never serious though

Minors ones, just got rear ended last month missed a flight had to take the red eye to make it work on time. Fortuantely the insurance paid for the flight.

I got in a wreck the day b4 my scheduled drivers license test. My dad was in the passanger seat and I t-boned a car in an unmarked residential intersection. The car was totaled. Because of that I didn't end up getting my license till I was a few days shy of 17.

Few months ago me and a couple of friends got in a fender bender. Luckily Nothing too serious.

Yes. A cute little blond girl was on her phone and BLEW through the red light in her giant SUV and t-boned my Corvette. She was going so fast that I didn't even slow her down. She just went right through my vette like it wasn't even there and didn't stop until she hit concrete. She then had the audacity to cry about the whole situation. I was the one hit girl. :roll:

Nah not really, the most serious I can remember was I was in the line for to get into school with one of the carpool moms, and then the tire blew (it had to do with the curve, but we we're hardly moving)

No, though a couple close calls with people not checking their blind spots who would have hit me had I not braked and moved aside.

When I was a kid though, we were on the freeway, and a guy had a wooden board that wasn't secured in his pickup properly. All of a sudden it flew out and hit the car just below the window, broke in half, and hit the car behind us too. Left a huge dent, but it could have been much worse if it had hit the window.

Oh and my dad got hit by a car SITTING INSIDE A STORE. An old woman just blew through the windows and dragged him through the wall. From what I hear she kept on the accelerator even inside the store. Luckily my dad was alright.

one at my hands and two at my sisters.

though mine wasnt bad. i was running late for school, which would have resulted in me getting detention. so i neglected to let my windows defog all the way. figured id be fine. drive off and turn only to be blinded by the sun, next thing i know, i see the back of this truck, i try to swerve to miss but i sideswiped it. truck was parked and no one was in it. messed up my front passenger fender and passenger side of the car. mirror was hanging. i was at fault, no doubt. no one was hurt. truck barely had any damage. car almost got totaled, not because i messed up the enging, just the cost to fix the car was almost more than the car was worth. but i didnt have to go to school so i avoided that detention:P

the two at my sisters hands were a little more serious but not life threatening.

first one, she was driving the car that i was driving in the above paragraph. we were going about 25 through our neighborhood and this person decides to just slam on her breaks but the brake lights didnt come on, it had rained previously so the roads were slick, my sister didnt notice she stopped until it was too late. we rear ended the other car. my sister got hurt a little, just a little whiplash, she got prescribed some vicodin and all was well. i came out unscathed. car was almost totalled.

So she almost totalled the car, then about a couple years later, i almost totalled the same car:P

last accident, i should have gotten hurt, but i didnt. we were in her relatively new car at a 4-way stop sign. we stopped and looked around, we didnt see any cars. so she proceeded to go. next thing we know, this red cobalt comes out of knowhere and hits the passenger side of the car. she pretty much hit dead on with the wheel. i somehow was not hurt at all. the driver of the cobalt was unhurt also so that was good. the Cobalt was at Fault.

so yea ive been in 3 accidents, but luckily no one was hurt in either one of them.

I had three major ones I was in.

In 2005 I was in a humvee in the back seat when the driver wasn't paying attention and rear-ended an Iraqi car into a tree. We ended up losing our front right wheel. None of us were wearing seatbelts (most of the time we didn't wear them for combat purposes but eventually we did after they started giving us knives to cut them if they got stuck) but we didn't get hurt. The Iraqis were fine and got paid a lot of money for their car.

In 2006 I was rear-ended by a Coke truck on the left turn before my apartment building. Totaled out my car and gave me back problems ever since.

In 2009 I was driving down the highway during a rainstorm when I hydroplaned and spun around a few times before hitting the center barrier of the highway facing towards incoming traffic. Totaled that car out too.

I totaled my car about 2 weeks ago and it really sucks. I still dont have a car and it makes life so hard!

I was driving a caddy.

Just about was in one. Driving just into the city. One guy came off a merge lane, no signal, no nothing, went right in front of me in such a manner that hithe back of his vehicle would've hit my front end if I had not moved over into the other lane with no time to hit the horn. Thankfully the guy in the other lane put on his brakes for me and let me in front of him. That was scary.

Once almost four years ago, I flipped a guys truck with my truck.

I was driving a caddy.

I was with my dad, we were doing 50k, We got hit ALMOST head on by an SUV doing about 70. She was in a rush to get home, didn't wait to see if the corner was clear ( there was a welding truck right beside us, hiding us from the SUV. Lets just say, afterwards. our car was parked on a stop sign with the front driver side wheel literally broken off of the axle.Lost-Memory
