Say you win a lottery, or get an inheritance from some relative.
The amount is $250,000. What would be your first use of the cash?
I would pay off all my debts, then invest what was left.
Thoughts?

I would give 100,000 to my parents, leave another 100,000 for school. And the other 50K would go in my savings.
The amount is 250k. After obama taxes, you have about 10$ to spend. I'd probably go out to lunch.

There's some good answers in this thread, but this one got me.
Pay off my student loan, that would leave me with around 225k left. Probably buy an apartment with most of the remaining money and just keep the rest for a rainy day.
Pay off college. Make my own business so I can try and profit. Give my mom and dad a large sum of it for their troubles of raising me. Probably start a new life somewhere less stressful and hopefully be happy for a change. I probably want peace and quiet for a couple years and no more arguments. I can deal with it on the internet, but not in real life where I need to meet someones expectations....
EDIT: *Actually reads past winning lottery part* Ah hell, there's really not much I can do with that besides pay off student loan. Of course, taxes are probably gonna screw me over...:P
first thing: put away however much i need for college
second thing: buy an awesome car
third thing: keep my job
Go communist spread some to my wallet, some to the bank, some to the store (Games & pc), Car, donate some, and save the rest.
250 grand eh ? I'd probably quit my job, move out of the parents house up state a bit near my brother and other family that lives up north. Then I'd go to a nice university up there. Man, that would be sweet but I doubt I'd come across cash like that any time soon.
