So has your state adopted yet, and if so how are your rates looking?
I won't be able to see mine until October 1st.

[QUOTE="Capitan_Kid"]Does this mean free dental? Wtf does Obamacare do for a starving 20 year old college student?MakhaidosThat entirely depends on your household income. Im under my pops and he says its not gonna do anything for him which means it does nothing for me. Thanks, Obama.

The millions of people it does do things for will be devastated to hear that. :(
Already get free insurance provided from my mom's work. 100% coverage, although that's been slowly diminishing... :(

Illinois apparently has a myriad of options available to me, though I may not need it because of the coverage I have through school. States that actually embraced the law and prepared for its implementation will have positive results for their citizens, imagine that!

The 26 year old parent healthcare thing is cool but I would of chose not to have healthcare anywayplaymynutz
Dang, you're a daredevil!
I think everything's going to be okay and we can all look back on this topic and laugh at how nervous we were.

Yup. Covered California, CA's exchange, opens up soon. I'll get some insurance, but only because I had cancer in '07 and haven't had a checkup in a long time.
Other than that, it's disgusting that the federal government can now tell you that you have to buy a product or get fined. Furthermore, the IRS collects the fine. You know that when the IRS is involved, it's gonna be a big screw-up from the get-go. Big government at its finest, folks!
I'm not sure. I already have some of the best employer provided insurance in the nation and work for the highest paying healthcare organization. If anything I have more to lose than to gain from this. We'll see how my company does...
Are you still covered by your parents health insurance until 26 even if you don't live at home? Either way, I think this bill would at least help reduce fraud and stop that pre existing denial crap.
Also, since "demand" is going up, does this mean more health insurance companies will be popping up?

Yes, you can still be covered even if you don't physically live in the household. Also, I don't believe dental/vision are required to be provided (someone asked about dental).
Being that I am a working American that makes over 60K a year and am under the age of 36 I am getting fisted in the ass by health premiums to help pay for others. So I absolutely hate it and think its unfair. I woudlnt mind paying a little extra, but hundreds of dollars a month is just plain robbery. I fail to believe there isnt a better solution than raping the working class...
"OBAMA! I did it again! Might wanna bring the new Magic Eraser this time!"My understanding of Obamacare is that it obliges Obama to provide carepersonally.
I expect him to give me a sponge bath every morning if I'm confined to bed for more than a day or two.
And if I should have diarrhea ...

Walker'll just pretend it doesn't exist anyway.
He'll try to hold it off until he's elected out of office and then he can say he successfully fought against it. Will look good when he runs for POTUS in 2016.
