margharita pizza with fresh heirloom tomatoes instead of sauce
basically, a genuine italian pizza (crispy crust, but still soft and chewey) with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. It is literally a perfect food, both in the fact it tastes great and you can literally sustain yourself forever by eating it. Perfect balance of CHO, lipids, and protein, with plenty of vitamins.
For dessert? Coconut gelato (not ice cream...there is a difference), and for my beverage, water. I feel compelled to say beer, but the human body needs straight water.
artichoke
Oh god, thanks for reminding me how awful american pizza is in comparison. And as for gelato, coconut is up there but melon trumps it by a bit. As for my everlasting meal, beans, rice, meat and potatoes and tortillas. Water for my drink and cannoli for dessert.American Pizza isnt bad per se, we just have bad chains, and those chains influence local chains/mom-and-pop brances because it has been proven to work. With that said, the best Italian-style pizzas I have had h ave been in the States, and I have been all over Italy and sampled pizzas in every single city, town, and village I went to. We also have Chicago style, New York style, and California style to boot!
you just gotta look for it in the states.
and yeah, melon gelato is amazing. I totaly forgot about it.
