People wouldn't like how I rule. Strict but fair. My justice system will be brutal and less forgiving for felonies, varying severity for misdemeanors. Rape and murder get you shot so I don't have to waste funds keeping the person alive and I can put that money elsewhere. Those are what stand out to me the most, I could likely go into detail on all of that.
Education will get an overhaul. Free education like it is now, with a lot of the nation's funds put into the school system. I want my country educated. Kids will go through school much like they do now, except once they get to middle school they also get put to work in a field of interest. They can change fields until they find their niche and learn how to do that, like an unpaid internship (Since they're getting free education). Alongside learning their trade, they also learn the traditional stuff; Math, English, Science, History. Stuff like that. Once they reach high school they get paid for their work. They also get courses on real life stuff; How to pay bills, management, those kinds of things. When they graduate, they can focus on their job and get on with their life like someone with a job would now.
People would have the rights they have now, but I'd reserve the right to retract these rights at any time. I'd also give the rich the finger if they try anything. As for times of war, I'd happily take over other countries if I need to, and my military would be disciplined extensively and trained in various types of weapons depending on what job they need to do, along with two or three common forms of martial arts, plus a martial art custom made for my military. I'd have Rules of Engagement and policies concerning civilians and such. Kind of similar to what America does now, or is supposed to do. I'd develop WMDs that won't completely destroy the planet if I use them and only save them as a last resort.
I'd also add in mandatory military training for each and every citizen of the country so that we'd all know just how to defend ourselves should an invasion happen. Nothing too bad; A few months of basic training to learn how to shoot a weapon or two, and the martial arts. Whether or not they stay is their choice afterwards.
I guess It'd be something like... A communist, militaristic government under martial law? With bits of democracy and capitalism thrown in?
