Ok so I live between Los Angeles and San Diego, in the middle of a desert. For the past week we've been getting 115-130 degree weather. Yesterday morning I thought it would be different, since it was an overcast day.

Wrong. Not only was it 115 degrees, but the sun was blocked out by clouds...AND IT WAS RAINING. I mean it was frickin pouring! And guess what? It's happening again today. Seriously WTF.

That doesn't prove we are causing it, global warming would be happening right now even if there weren't humans on Earth.

Of course it would be happening, but not nearly as fast as it is with us speeding it up.

Pfft... I'm sure humans are having an effect on the planet and its climate.. but not nearly as big as everyone makes it out to be. The real forces that change climates and cause catastrophes etc. are way out of our control...

Yes that is some amazing proof right there.. And we already know global warming happens, because we couldn't live without it. How do you know how fast is normal? Have you lived through these phases of the earth heating up, cooling down, heating up, etc.?

No, wait, its Summer! 0mg! Summer! That must be explaining this "global warming". Besides, I heard the ice caps on Mars is melting, must be that the sun is getting hotter, otherwise the 2007 hurricane season would be active.

It always has rained in Ireland. In fact I would said god or some other weird ass being does it on purpose. Chances are it also put an invisible barricade to block out the effect of global warming as well.

Yeah, random flash flood/storms with crazy repeating lighting have been happening over the past couple weeks where I live-- Middle Tennessee.

Before that we had a round a 2 week drought. Global Warming being real or fake isn't the matter at hand...it's how great of an influence we, humans, have.

It's called weather dude. Not exactly the most predictible thing in the world is it? Tommorow it could be even hotter or even colder or a snowstorm. Proof this is not.

i dont believe in global warming. my science teacher made us watch that al gore movie an unconvient truth or something and one of his graphs was about the temp lvls around the globe and if you look there is one before the last ice age that was way higher than now. i think it just happens everyone once in a long time. plus that movie didnt really prove anything especially since alot of the time he was trying to get pity with his "sad" life story.

There's no such thing as scientific proof that we are causing global warming. Nothing testable. They only try to use history to prove it, and history is actually working against them on it. Anyone ever hear of post world war 2 economic boom? How about the Clean Air Act? Durastic changes in carbon it the atmosphere, yet still the same rate of temperature increase....interesting.

That's not exactly proof.......wiki has some good info on it though http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_warming

but like I say in all these threads, there are two possibilities, either we do something, and whether global warming is real or not, we will have either dodged a bullet, or at the very least developed some important technologies. But if it's true, and people choose to ignore it, floods, massive loss of live, land, crops will all ensue, wars will break out over depleting natural resources ect.

What we need to do seems pretty black and white to me.

No....it hasn't, it's been directly coinciding with the increases with co2 in the atmosphere.

That doesn't make any sence, polititions publicized this issue after the first claims were made in order to protect the companies that were financing them, so isn't it the disbelievers that are a bit manipulated?

Very shallow documentary, doesn't really show anything . . .
