Young girl stabs friend 65 times after Facebook dispute.

A 16-year-old girl was so outraged after a Facebook dispute that she murdered her best friend by stabbing her in the back 65 times.

Erandy Elizabeth Gutierrez was furious after she received messages that alerted her to the fact that her friend had uploaded naked pictures of the pair to the social network.

She told her friend, Anel Baez, also 16, that she would be lucky to survive until the end of the year.

‘It may seem that I am very calm, but in my head I have killed you at least three times,’ Gutierrez wrote to Baez via Twitter.

Laughing off Gutierrez’s threat that she would ‘bury’ her ’before the end of the year’, the unwitting Baez invited her friend to her home in to patch things up.

According to local police, Gutierrez asked to use the bathroom but instead went into the kitchen where she found the knife she used to stab her friend over 60 times.

TOPIC: Teenage girls and their absolute hatred towards one another. All you need is a dash of psychosis, and shit like this happens. Makes me glad I grew up male. Here she wouldn't have done it, because you would have gotten jailtime and a lawsuit that would pretty much fine the uploader for life because she uploaded naked pictures to facebook.

Parental consent isn't required, although there is still the risk of an overprotective parent trying to whip your ass or worse for sleeping with their daughter. I dealt with a somewhat similar situation in Georgia a few years ago when I was stationed at Fort Benning, we had a 20-year old guy who was screwing a 17-year old high school student he got pregnant.

While the chain of command wanted to bust him for statutory rape (don't know how her folks felt) JAG told the chain all they could get the guy on was bringing an underage girl in the barracks (you have to be 18 without a parent or guardian), which was a slap on the wrist. In all honesty, he got hit harder for underage drinking than he did for bringing her in the barracks.

On the other hand, transporting a minor across state lines for sex might get you in trouble, such as taking a 16-year old from California to Nevada. Or you have the states where having a direct position of authority over the minor comes into play.

I heard about this on the radio the other day. The host was interviewing the cousin of the victim and she says that there were no photos involved.

This time they just happened to be having their argument over FB instead of on the street. People are no more dumb or violent than we've ever been; we just have the means to be more destructive (guns, explosives, etc) and we're exposed more to the stories (internet, 24 hour cable news, etc).

Seems extreme, for just naked photos, so something wonders if there's something more that's not talked about. For instance, what if it were more than just naked photos, such as what if the photos showed that the two girls were in some sort of lesbian relationship. After all, if it were just naked photos, just call the cops, they'd arrest the other girl and charge her for production and distribution of child pornography. Then again, if you were trying to hide evidence of a lesbian affair then drawing attention to the photos would be the last thing you'd want.

I'm thinking the two girls were experimenting, one of the girls loved it and wanted the relationship to go further, to be public, while the other was reluctant, not sure if she was a lesbian or wanted to commit to a relationship or just wanted to avoid the social stigma of being gay. The other girl who wanted to be open about the relationship found the girl's reluctance to be public about it a hindrance to the relationship, so she outed her on Facebook so everybody would know and there wouldn't be any more obstacles, and this really pissed off the girl because she didn't want to be outed or maybe she knew deep inside still confused about all this and she snapped... just speculation though.

Then again maybe I'm wrong and it could just be this simple, and the girl simply just overreacted.
