As for me, I would have to go with Between the Buried and Me. Not a huge metal person but the prog/metal they display is stunning. With the release of their last album they moved to my numberone spot over Tool. They also kick ass live.

Currently its Rammstein. All their songs are great and the sound of Till Lindemann's voice makes me man crush.

[QUOTE="Blu_Falcon37"]True words. Have you listened to At the Edge of Time yet? It's just...amazing :| In my top 3 Blind Guardian releases.Oh yes. Listened to it on youtube this morning. I'm loving Ride into Obsession at the moment. I'm going to have to listen to it a few more times but it's definitely up there on the list of their best albums.Blind Guardian. Quite possibly the most epic band of all time.

Layne was amazing. i feel ya on that
it's hard for me to appoint a favorite band though. there's so many genres man, so many moods to adjust to through music. The only reason i can pick it as my favorite is the fact that it's the one band that has helped me the most in life. :)[QUOTE="isephi"][QUOTE="ShadowJax04"] he's the one artist i miss the most.. genres do differ vastly, but alice in chains is always there when i need to kick back.
Brokencyde deserves a mention, as well.Razor-Lazor
Thought this thread was for favorite bands, not bands you'd like to see thrown over a cliff...
Anyways, my favorite band all through school was always System of a Down, but I think that's changed in recent years. I don't really have a favorite anymore, I just listen to stuff I like.
Alice in Chains without a doubt. At least 1990's AIC. I give William Duvall all the credit in the world for stepping up and trying to replace Layne, but it still is not the same. Jerry is the brain, while Layne was the heart and soul I would say. Alice in Chains 2010- Really Good Band. Alice in Chains 1990-1996or so- Legendary.
It's a guilty pleasure, but it's Korn.
Although here are some other bands Ilike. Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Anthrax, Death, Dethklok, Annihilator, SOAD, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden,Death Angel, Testament, Deftones, Nirvana... Uh I can't really think of much at the moment.
