For those with modest beards (and I mean real modest beards) , I'm wondering if you can help me out here. Do you just put soap like the rest of your face or... what do you feel most comfortable with?

I use a shampoo/conditioner on it, yes. Keeps it smooth instead of brittle.

I think he ment, through the day he'll wash it if need be.. it can be quite refreshing for it

Well I have a Chin Strip. When I shower I do wash it with shampoo. It is hair after all. Same with my side burns.

I'm at that stage where I can't grow a full beard, but it's more visible that peach fuzz. Which kind of sucks.
