Here are some of my biggest pet peeves at the gym

1. Failing to re-rack the weights: I'm sick and tired of having to clean up after other people just so I can use a station.

2. Leaving their crap on equipment they're not using: Really? So I can't use a station because you're too inconsiderate to put your towel and chalk on the floor instead of putting on some ****ing bench you're not even using?

3. Loud grunting: It's annoying, you can breath in and out without grunting, please stop.

4. Removing bars from weight benches: The bars are meant to go with the damn bench they're put on, don't take them somewhere else.

5. Sitting on equipment they're not using just to talk to people: If you're not going to exercise, get off the damn machine.

6. "Hey bro, can I work with you?" I have trouble saying no, but why can't people just wait their turn?

People taking too long/hogging the equipment, especially when there is only one (whether it be weights or a machine). Also, not having half weights (all the dumbbells increase 5 pounds, opposed to 2 1/2) and machines constantly out of order.

I often see that with HS football players over the summer. They come in big groups, and hardly do anything except sit on the equipment and talk about girls.

1. Not racking weight or racking in the wrong spot (dumbbells) -they are either too stupid to know what to do, too lazy to do it, or just a total jackass that doesn't care 2. Sweat all over and don't clean up -seriously pool guy, did you just go for a swim or what 3. sitting on equipment to talk/using it as a place to rest their **** -it is not break time *****, and it is not a locker 4. being loud -if I can hear you over my headphones you are too ****ing loud -No one cares, and no one wants to look at you...stop trying to attract attention 5. working out in front of the racks and mirrors -you can't get dumbbells b/c people stand right in front of the rack...get the **** out of the way jackass before I through this weight I want to rack at your ****ing head ...my number 1 though: ****ing talking to me. Re-rack weights and people who smell bad.. I have a pretty good resistance to the small of BO, but some peoples are just unbarable it smells like they hadn't bathed the entire week.

Staring at yourself in the mirror and tensing your biceps when you have done a set of reps. You are not going to see the results straight after and you just look like an idiot.

Yah definitely number 5, I hate that, it makes the gym really inefficient. I mean are you really that lazy that you can't step back like 10 feet.

People that stare in the mirror thinking there on TV or something. People who don't clean the equipment after use. HURRRRRRR GER GER GER... grunting and the neccesity to rap or sing hardcore music that they are currently listening to. And... I am guilty of this staring at other people.. er women. Yea... oops

2.people stomping on the treadmill. They're supposed to be light on the feet if they don't want problems later in life.

3. Mirrors. Why are they there? To correct technique? And why are the dumbbells always lined up against them?

I don't have like 3 hours to mess around and make small talk at the gym. When I get there I like to be focused and finish my workout as efficiently as possible. Talking to people that I don't really care about just gets in the way of that goal.

the meat heads that cut the sleeves off of their t-shirts to make them redneck type wife beaters and then with said cut sleeve wear it as a head band...and said meat head will jsut show up at the gym and walk around,he will never,and i mean NEVER touch a weight...

Failing to re-rack the weights: I'm sick and tired of having to clean up after other people just so I can use a station. - very annoying when people leave 4 or 5 plates on each side of a bar and your stuck lifting them off to get your desired weight... 2. Leaving their crap on equipment they're not using: Really? So I can't use a station because you're too inconsiderate to put your towel and chalk on the floor instead of putting on some ****ing bench you're not even using? - i do this sometime... its not that hard to ask them to move it and you never know if theyre switching between sets with no break in order to maximize theyre reps. 3. Loud grunting: It's annoying, you can breath in and out without grunting, please stop. - you must drop your weights when it gets hard to lift them because when you doing max reps or drop sets you get extremely fatigued and grunting happens 4. Removing bars from weight benches: The bars are meant to go with the damn bench they're put on, don't take them somewhere else. - some times when all the deadlift/squat bars are being used and theyres a few free bench press bars left i take the bench bar... why wait 10 minutes for someone to finish? 5. Sitting on equipment they're not using just to talk to people: If you're not going to exercise, get off the damn machine. - this is annoying, but once again asking someone to move or if theyre using the equipment takes 5 seconds, 6. "Hey bro, can I work with you?" I have trouble saying no, but why can't people just wait their turn? - once again why wait 5-10 minutes... maybe theyre of a schedule or only have limited time... is it so hard to share the machine when your taking you 1-2 minute break? Those are some of mine, what are yours? Mainly I just hate people who dont put theyre weights away or when a couple (man and woman) go to the gym and have a freaking 5 minute fight in the middle of the gym distracting those who are there to work out. I also hate people who continually flex theyre muscles after every set... your muscles dont instantly get bigger... theyre getting smaller because you're literally ripping your muscles open. any growth is due to lactic acid filling the "ripped" muscle and will drain after streching/over time.

These irritate me as well. I can't stand these workout commando soldiers who have to let the whole building know how manly they are with their meathead battle cries. You really had me at the re-racking part. My blood comes to a boil when these meatheads leave their heavy ass weights sitting on the bar. But then again, they're stupid meatheads, so it's actually wrong of me to expect any clas-s out of them.

If I had your dedication, I would as well, though the last thing I want to do after a workout is go to work for 9 hours or Uni. The very few times I have been to gyms around that time though, SO fricken empty, it's sweet.

I don't sleep well...so no big deal to me. I get up at 4, eat, check email, look on here...and then go to the gym when it opens at 5 Then I go to work at 7:30

^^ what the big list mentioned plus people who stink. I mean the people who literally smell of ****. Then gyms lame music. Its always some dodgey clubland remix of chart music or old house music from the early 90s. Then I hate it when its full and you cant do what you want to do. I also prefer the gyms that the real hardcore people go to no these "health clubs" which is for middleaged women to try and tone their arses up since they have seen their teenage daughter looking fine in a dress and they know full well they can not pull it off lol

I'm guilty of one and 6, occasionally 5 but rarely. Though I think working in is fine, I mean if you're resting why shouldn't I use it. If you go to UT, you should know how obnoxiously crowded Gregory gets.

When people are just talking a lot or doing really crappy reps with really crappy form. Like, what do people expect to gain from working out if they can't work out right? Lifting more weight that way doesn't make you look strong, it just makes you look retarded :lol:
