Going by your favourites TC, I would be surprised if you didn't like Hunter X Hunter. That's the second time I've recommended that one to someone today actually.
My favs our generally pretty high rated and/or popular, which is logical considering I find anime by looking at the best rated, and most viewed lists on animenewsnetwork.com. Though I will plug Fighting Spirit aka Hajime No Ippo as something that should definetly be more popular than it is. Granted it is high rated, so it gets recognition that way.
By the way, if you need to find anime online go to animetoplist.org, and it will tell you all the sites that has the anime, if they're dubs or subs, and if they're megavideo or otherwise. So, it's a great tool if your looking for non-megavideo vids or unpopular anime that's hard to find.
Fullmetal Alchemist (Original anime), Gankutsuou, Death Note, Gunslinger Girl, Berserk. Best part about this list is that comparing these to any other anime out there is a surge of stupid. They're all great and original stuff.SymphonycomethSeen Berserk recently, and though I thought it was pretty good, I didn't like the ending. Anime with endings that lack resolution annoy me, and though plenty of stuff happened it just left me wanting to see what's next, like the story should have kept going after that. As I understand it the manga continued past there, but manly men like me don't read :P

Talk about one of the biggest cliffhangers in the history of cliffhangers that JUST now get a continuation after how many years? :P
Aoi Hana is THE best anime made in the last decade.funsohng*insert Kanye West joke* And I find anime has gotten a lot better since previous decades. It helps that the dubs aren't as horrible as they used to be. They've improved a lot visually too.

Light Yagami's too much of a jerk to be a good protagonist, but not enough of a jerk for me to really root against him with much fervor. *flees*

Light IS a jerk-in-a-can, unlike Lelouch.

:D Thanks! I am a fan of psychological thriller, mystery anime which is directed more towards the adult audience (Seinen)
As for Johan Liebert (bowing while typing his name ;))
Johan Liebert was an exceptionally gifted young boy from former Czechoslovakia, who ended up in a so called 'child development center" in the Nazi Germany. Keep in mind, the series is actually based on events and locations that really happened and existed. Pretty much, Johan was a product of a psychological experiment by German psychiatrists, who were preparing kids to be the future of Nazi Germany - some for soldiers, and some - even for a replacement for Adolf Hitler Well, the exceptional gift and manipulative ability of Johan (even from young age) made it possible for him to manipulate his way through a complete dominance and achieving his goals. What were his goals? The total brain-washing and mental burdens that Johan was given throughout his stay at the 'psychological testing child center" made it possible for him to be everywhere and nowhere at the same time. How? Well, pretty much everybody was working for him, he was manipulating everything and everybody to be able to achieve his ultimate goal - to be the last one standing on Earth and more precisely - to be the unknown force that is changing the world. To be the MONSTER WITHOUT A NAME - which was a picture book by one of the psychiatrists in the child center. Johan is the ultimate psychopath, which features came from his hard and burdened childhood, mental abuse combined with his exceptional charisma, astuteness and manipulative powers. Remember, JL is such a complex antagonist, that you really need to think deeper into the psychilogy theories to find explanations for his existence and actions.
Naoki Urasawa is real genious to create such a character!
Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood is not only my all time favorite Anime, but also one of the best shows i've ever seen.
Also, the first Full Metal Alchemist is pretty damn good too.
Among others that i like are: Elfen Lied, Evangelion, Clannad, Ultimate Hellsing, K-ON.
Right now i'm watching Fairy Tail, so far so damn good, i hope this doesn't end like another Bleach or Naruto with endless chapters and endless arcs.
Baccano!
Death Note
Cowboy Bebop
Fullmetal Alchemist
Neon Genesis Evangelion
Naruto: Shippuden
Yu-Yu Hakusho
BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad
Cromartie High School
Ranma 1/2
Clannad After Story
School Rumble
Films: End of Evangelion and Grave of the Fireflies
I watch mostly shounen anime, my favorites are One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Rurouni Kenshin, Dragonbal and z, and lots more. Used to like both bleach and naruto stopped watching them 2 years ago, and nowadays about 95% of the new animes are pure trash (Moe anime destroyed it).

Ah, that makes bundles of sense. Thanks for covering that with me! =D[QUOTE="funsohng"]Aoi Hana is THE best anime made in the last decade.Guppy507I think you misspelled Clannad.
You both don't know how to write Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood :P.
