The eighties, by far. The greatest bands from my favorite genres emerged from that decade.

the 90s will never be surpassed, everything was perfect... this decade has been such a bore.

90's had my favorite music, but other than that, not so great. Nostalgia is about all it has.

90's for me.

00s. It's the only one that I was old enough to actually appreciate. And most of it has been pretty kickass.

2nd choice would be the 90s.

I think the best decade for any individual is the decade(s) when they werea teenager moving into adulthood. Whenever you are "coming of age".

I would say the 1980's to mid 1990's for me. High School conquered, college experienced, parent for first time.

Yes, punk too. Punk is massively underappreciated. It totally changed the music formula from the 60's and 70's.

The bands that followed are always better than the inspiration IMO. I didn't like too many punk bands, but I loves 80's alternative. I didn't like 70's progressive rock, but modern prog is my favorite genre.

it was certainly better than disco... New Wave was like one of the only times where dance music played in clubs was actually really good music.

I wasn't alive either, but that decade had some GREAT music.

Better than what's been going on from the nineties to the present.

Probably the 1950's America's dominance was staggering and the people as whole alot more innocent in thier view of the world and appreciative of thier wealth.I can't help but be awed by what many consider to be America's golden decade. The traditional family unit, less violence and american ingenuity. Unfortunately, the children of that generation didnt go through the hardships of their parents and grew up spoiled and ridiculously idealistic to the point of fault.

I'm sorta torn between the late 80's and early 90's because ithad Death Metal, Sega Genesis, SNES..

The 90's for me. My favorite tv shows aired during this decade

1980's. Terminator, Aliens, Empire Strikes Back, Blade Runner, Rambo, The Breakfast Club, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Raging Bull , Ghostbusters, The Thing, Brazil, Do the Right Thing, The Princess Bride, Die Hard, Blood Simple, Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, Back to the Future, The Shining, Caddyshack, Predator, etc, etc, etc.AAllxxjjnn

I wasn't around in the 80's but it looked like a fun deacade.

I'd love to live in the 1930s or 1950s as a man in his lower 20s. Great music, great cars, great atmosphere. So great.
