I've never listened to one of his albums. The only song that I listen to where he sings is the song "Forever" and in that song I think he sucks.
"Kanye West" and "Favorite" Dont belong in the same sentence.kris9031998I dunno, a lot of his songs speak to me personally and I feel a small connection with what he has been though. He makes great music/beats. Have you ever listened to him extensively or did you at least try and give him a chance?

He just got on my nerves after a while, he seemed like another generic rapper honestly...

You just put them in the same sentence...
But seriously, Graduation.

Oh snap.Yeah, i have. He just got on my nerves after a while, he seemed like another generic rapper honestly...kris9031998Yea, there are some songs that make him sound stupid lol. Like on the new album he made with Jay-Z, some of his lyrics don't make a lot of sense, but it's the way he raps it that I like. I also think Jay-Z out-shined him on that album (Watch the Throne). But I can see where you're coming from. I didn't like him initially back when he was on his Graduation album, but I never listened to him and after I did, I was a fan. :D

Yeah...and his attitude doesnt help either. Hes spoiled, self centered, and thinks hes the best in the world.
The College Dropout is my absolute favorite. One of my favorite 5 albums of all time, regardless of genre.
MBDTF would be second for me.

Have you been exposed to anything of his outside "Imma letchu finish"? Because you sound really ignorant. It's okay to not like him, but the adjectives you used to describe him are just so off....

I'm a big Kanye fan and I think he sucks in that song.
MBDTF > College Dropout > Graduation > Late Registration > Watch the Throne > 808s and Heartbreak
Love the first four, the last two are okay and have a couple really good tracks on them.
Late Registration=My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy>College Dropout>Graduation>>>>>>>>>808's and Heartbreak

Well played. :lol:It's a hard choice between Graduation and MBTDF.
Graduation has Flashing Lights, Homecoming, and Can't Tell Me Nothing.
MBTDF has All of the Lights, Monster, and Blame Game.
I guess the best is what I feel like listening to at the time. Not to take anything away from his other albums.
HEY LOOK A RAP TOPIC I'm gonna go in there and tell everyone I don't listen to rap! cheese_game619
What do you expect from OT. I'm surprised it actually took two minutes for the first "Kanye sucks" post to come up after the topic was posted. I'm still waiting for links to various metal songs to be posted as an example of what we really should be listening to instead of "garbage" like rap (nothing against metal, but you don't have to hate one genre in order to justify being a fan of another).

Anyway, my choice is My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. It is more sonically interesting than the others.
All his rap albums are great tho, and 808s even has its moments.

Yeah, his albums are a little bit different from each other. I listen to a different one depending on what mood I'm in.
MBDTF is the most consistent in that I don't think there's much filler at all. For me it's the easiest of his albums to listen to front to back.
Graduation has a bunch of fun pop songs that are just really enjoyable to listen to.
His earlier stuff like College Dropout is when I want something more smooth and soulful.
Even 808s has some interesting stuff going for it though I'm lukewarm to the album as a whole.

His music is anything but generic. Listen to the song Power. I bet you couldn't find another song that sounds like it.
Graduation even though half of the album is pretty much just "remakes" like Gold digger is a Ray Charles song.

I think you mean Late Registration since Gold Digger is on that album and not Graduation.
Also, it uses a Ray Charles sample pretty heavily, but its not a remake.

Well, it does a good job of conveying what I want to convey with it, so why not keep using it?

No criticisms here. It just amuses me a bit that you'veused that word every time I've seen you speak of MBDTF.
Oh, and uhh....Graduation > MBDTF
I think people who care too much about Kanye's attitude and who he as a person are really missing out on awesome music.
MBDTF is my personal favorite, he just really did something else on that music. Least favorite would be 808's and Heartbreaks. All of his other albums are classics as well. Super talented, if anyone hasn't listened to him because he is a racist jerk (barring the use of other words here) I'd definitely reccommend trying to get over it and listening to some of his music.
For real though. I don't like his attitude either and admit that used to deter me from his music but after hearing a few songs on the radio I looked him up and found out he's awesome. The man has talent for real. And my fave is his latest album of course. All Of The Lights is addictive as crack.I think people who care too much about Kanye's attitude and who he as a person are really missing out on awesome music.

People need to understand that it's not about the person, it's about the music. I couldn't care less what an artist's political views are, what their attitude is like, or what they eat for breakfast every morning. As long as they make music that's sonically pleasing to the ear, that's all that matters. Kanye West is a good example of this policy in action. The guy is a total douche, but man can he pump out great songs on a regular basis. Jonny Craig is another good example. Alcoholic, drug addict, and an all around complete jerk-off, but the guy has the voice of a God, IMO at least.
