as of now, i can think of three,

Disturbed's Land of confusion. originally done by Genesis.

Five Finger Death Punch's Bad Company. originally done by Bad Company.

Carrie Underwood's cover of Alone. originally done by Heart. Bonus Carrie and Ann(from Heart) singing Alone

sorry for the cheering in the carrie underwood video, couldnt find one without it.

I Will Survive by Cake. Not all would prefer it, but I do, because of it's vocal style and instrumentals.

Madonna's Oh Father is one of the most beautiful and haunting songs ever IMO and I was blown away by what Sia did with it and by what this awesome guitarist did with it. When he hits the "Oh father...you never wanted to live this way..." part, I get chills.

I'll think of some more and post them.

I'm not that big of an MJ fan, but Human Nature is my favorite song of his and the instrumental in that cover is gorgeous.

I also love Regina Spektor's version of John Lennon's Real Love.

Here's the original for reference.

Much better than Regina Specktor hahaha. Music doesn't have to be serious all the time, it can be fun.

EDIT: you posted way too quick, you didn't hear the whole thing. The end is pretty funny.

I guess it's enjoyable in a "damn, it's hilarious how bad they're destroying this song" kind of way.

The end is really funny. "Now I have more money." lol.

Also, I really liked Coldplay's version of Fight for Your Right to Party.

Coldplay+Fight for Your Right To Party is a such a weird combination but it's a tribute song so I won't hate on it.

Hollywood Undeads cover of Led Zeppelins Immigrant Song

im a huge Hollywood Undead fan, and even im ashamed of that. its just horrible.

couldnt find a youtube video for HU's cover, i guess they got rid of them all, so got a link that should still play the song.

There are three specific songs I think of when I think of great covers. First, Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" made it his song. What a fantastic version of what I felt was originally pretty subpar. Although, admittedly, I was never a fan of NIN. The next cover would be Jimi Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" which, again, made that song his.

And then there is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame live cover of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" featuring Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne, with a pretty awesome Prince solo at the end. I really never knew Prince could even play guitar beyond the simplest arrangements.

Oh yeah, can't forget SRV's rendition of "Voodoo Child" which is really good.
