Your Favorite Villain?

Who's your favorite villain, movies, comic books, to whatever else you can think of name your favorite villain. If you could give some reasons to why that villain is your favorite.

Carnage, the supervillain that's stronger than both Spidey and Venom combined, he takes pleasure in causing chaos and that's really all that matters to him. I kinda find him interesting because world domination doesn't matter to him, as long as the world descends into 'carnage', one at which has no limits then he'll be satisfied. Creepy eh?

Voodoo Benjamin Franklin from Scud: The Disposable Assassin.

No, but, hmm, actually, probably Two-Face. He was done really well on Batman: The Animated Series as well as the comic books the Long Halloween and Hush, not to mention the Dark Knight.

Favorite villain....

I will say the Grunts from Halo. Funny and some great cannon fodder.

For traditionally "evil" villains, Big Brother from 1984 or the world itself in Fahrenheit 451

I believe the latter two are from the Shield and Dexter, respectively. Is Armadillo the one who raped the nine-year old girl? That was one of the most disturbing scenes of the Shield I've scene.

Ambiguous or complex villains rock.

Rauschach from Watchmen (sure I've spelled that wrong!); the Darth Vader character in Hidden Fortress (much better than the actual Darth Vader in the Star Wars movies), the main bad guy from the Serenity movie; Spike; Takeshi Kitano's gangster in Brother (or the Danila gangster character in the Russian movie of the same name) - or Takeshi Kitano's character in Battle Royale (in fact, most of Beat Takeshi's characters!), or ...

Of course, if they were that good I could probably remember more of their names! ;-)

Though having looked at that list, it occurs to me that lots of them are not from US movies. Hollywood seems intent on giving us movie villains who are big, and bad, and badder, and even bigger, and OMG see the size of our CGI budget!... but not necessarily very interesting.

One of my favourite in Animes used to be Orochimaru from Naruto until he died in the most ridiculous way possible with no explanation whatsoever.

Two Face

Heath Ledger's Joker was astonishing, and he runs a close race.

But my all-time favorite villain is Venom from Spider-man.

I love the backstory behind him and what he becomes. It's a villain I can relate to.

I'm gonna back this guy up, it was an awesome scene.

Two-Face and Joker have been my favorite villains since watching Batman: The Animated Series when I was young, The Dark Knight only helped make that that much better.
