Exactly what I was going to say.
By the way, Arrested Development is not that great, in my opinion... >_>
The Office (U.S.). Yes, have seen episodes of the British version. It's not bad, but I prefer the U.S. version. I think the reason why so many people say "U.K. is awesome, U.S. sucks" is most likely because it depends on which one you started watching first.DejaVu72
I found it really hard to understand the Uk versions "english", more mumbling the talking. But of the parts i did understand it was very funny. The us versions season 1 was a total rip-off of the uk version. But as they progressed to the 2nd season the got better and better. I dont think of the US version as superior to the UK in any way, they just made it longer, and sillier.

I know what you mean. I think that the reason many of the jokes of the first season were similar was because Rick Gervais was a writer for the show. I'm not sure if he still is, but I'm guessing he wrote much of the 1st season.[QUOTE="Drizzt13"]Torn between South Park and Scrubs.THE_DRUGGIE

You have to watch the show as whole and not just see one episode and judge it by that. If you cant ever find it funny i pity you :?

I watched 2 episodes. It wasn't anything memorable...
[QUOTE="Headbanger88"]Is there a movie funnier than "Airplane!"? JoshXXXXX:lol: I only watched about 15 minutes of that movie because I had to go somewhere, but from what I saw it was hilarious! I just wish I could've watched all of it. :(
Do yourself a favor and watch the entire thing. The entire movie is just laugh out loud comedy.

I was already laughing quite a bit for the 15 minutes I was watching it. I need to get myself to some video rental store, or maybe it'll pop on TV somewhere.[QUOTE="hjart6"][QUOTE="THE_DRUGGIE"][QUOTE="Drizzt13"]Torn between South Park and Scrubs.THE_DRUGGIE

Still not enough, BTW season 2 and season 3 are of the better.

It's one of those shows that you really have to watch from the begining and watch every episode because the majority of the laughs come from small references to other episodes. You also have to be somewhat smart to get some of the jokes, which is probably why the show got cancelled.

it was on fox, figures.
And you dont have to be smart at all to get the jokes. I sometimes have a problem understaning some of the harder words, seing as i'm norwegian and all. But first season is like "getting to know" the show and season 2,3 is constant lols.
I felt as if downloading this was one of the WORST crimes i have commited... so i bought it. Good extra material and now with suba so i understand a little more. Best purchase i have EEEVER done.
Edit: and the references are often done by the (much so excellent) narrator of the show with a clip of what happened or him telling us.

The Whitest Kids You Know
Tim and Eric Awesome Show
Human Giant
All these shows make me bronkle
hummer700
IMO those are some of the worst shows on TV...
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy book series (the movie was okay, but inferior). It combines my two favourite genres: sci-fi and comedy, and is a plethora of smart and stupid nonsensical humour.BoomarleyI feel the same way, I've read the whole trilogy(lol) and the movie just wasn't as good. I forgot Code Monkeys too. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite shows, but I've gotta say, I don't think Arrested Development or Tim and Eric show are funny at all. I've watched probly 5 full episodes of AD and still didn't like it so it's not because I never gave it a chance, I just didn't think it was funny. Tim and Eric has to be the worst show I've ever seen though. I watched one episode and the entire time, I had no ****ing clue what to think of it.
Am I the only person who would consider Code Monkeys one of the best comedy shows? It may be new, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. I love geek humor. :Pthorboy03
I LOVE that show :P. It's too early to call it my favorite comedy, but it's getting up there. I'm having a hard time picking mine. I have three that I wanna call my favorite XD. King of Queens, Arrested Development, and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Exactly what I think, also. Sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I'd seen the UK version first? Curious...:P
So yeah, favorite Comedy show is The Office, with Scrubs slightly behind...favorite comedy movie is Sideways (which is really a lot of drama, too, but it's hilarious). :P
