They probably wouldn't even take the time to research me. I don't think anybody around my town posts on GS or knows about the community.
wouldnt matter. I could figure out something about 50% of the users here. the key to remaining anonymous is to never use the same alias in 2 places
google everyones name in this thread.... then google their username and add some terms like profile, forum or whatever else you come up with
I don't think I would mind.Travo_basicthe same, unless i ask for advice on here that I wanted to keep confidential which would be exactly why id go on here
It's kind of like if you have a Facebook or Myspace, who wouldn't want to search their friend's wall post history to find out what they say about you?RyuHayabusaX:| i dont think anyone does that
My parents know I go on GS, but aren't nosy, so I don't care
And a freind of mine goes on here, too, but again, I don't care, I don't really reveal anything too perrsonal on here.
How bad would it be for you if friends, family, even fellow workers knew your gamespot account name? You could never say anything the same quite honestly. I talk more personal stuff here than I might with friends so I would certainly hope not. I sometimes change facts when I give stories(location, names) so people never find out incase they google it. What about you guys?RyuHayabusaX
my girlfriend would just laugh at me and i'd have to take her out for something for her to stop

Same here.
Same here.
Same here.Oh wait.
They know I go on GS but they don't know what I post or anything like that, I wouldn't change if they did find out (my mum is horrible seriously), just say "I'm telling the truth, I don't tell lies to make you look like a good person when your not."
I don't know anyone that posts on GameSpot in real life. None of them are big video game freaks anyway, except for a handful. They play Halo and Call of Duty (that's it) and call themselves gamers...
Anyway, I'm a lot more mature online than in real life, so I wouldn't care really. It's not like I'm even dumber or anything.
