Question: Do you listen to the soundtrack at the same time you are going through the game (not at the same time laterally when the game is on)? I think I would go crazy since the music repeats itself so often in the games.
I've been listening to a lot of Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears lately, I've got nothing to hide...
Also, ABBA, in pan flute nonetheless.
[QUOTE="jaydough"] Paramore. I know they're terrible, but I can't help it. konvikt_17
there not that bad. i like them:D
Just because you like them, doesn't mean they're good. Take Coldplay for example: Their music is nice to listen to so people listen to it, but they're terrible.[QUOTE="konvikt_17"][QUOTE="jaydough"] Paramore. I know they're terrible, but I can't help it. jaydough

Coldplay is quite a respectable band outside of the circles of mainstream moms looking for something safe and catchy.

As fair as I'm concerned, there is a certain... greatness in songs, songs like Don't Stop Belivin' and Freebird and just songs like that have an incredibly high greatness value, and will continue to be great songs even if no one listens to them. Thats how I look at it.[QUOTE="luke1889"]I'm a rudeboy but listen to non-ska stuff. :o Seriously though, various pop punk bands, maybe. Or classical piano. Or maybe my panpipe and steel drum music collection. :oclyde46Rudeboy eh? You being serious? You have all the white trackies and black nikes?
In Jamaica inthe 1960s, the term rudeboy/girl was given to troublemakers, but other meanings were also adopted, y'see. I'm not sure if you know this, but I'll tell thee anyway. History lesson.
Jamaica, as you know, is the homeland of ska and reggae, and thus in the late 1970s, during the second wave of ska in England, the term was adopted to refer to the followers and listeners of ska and reggae. More recently though, the term has been adopted wider afield than just Jamaica to refer to troublemakers, mainly youths.
The context I use it has nothing to do with nasty troublemakers. It refers to someone, i.e. me, who listens to Jamaican music. You could say it is a part of the culture and association.
Also, the black and white checkerboard pattern you see on so many articles of clothes and whatever was also a product of ska's second wave in England - dubbed the Two Tone era in ska. The black and white symbolises unity between black and white musicians who make both ska and reggae. Consequently, it annoys me when I see people wearing checkerboard and have not the feintest idea what it even means. Anti-racism.

Dam, you learn something new everyday. I thought Rudeboy was another name for a chav.Hehe, yeah. There's more to the origin of the phrase than most people realise. In a music context, rudeboy (also rudie, rudy and rudi) is a noun much like punk, skinhead, metalhead, mod, rocker...whatever label you wish. Unfortunately, a lot of people hear rudeboy and think yob. That always causes a lot of confusion. :lol:

Answer: I don't actively listen the way I do when I listen to music away from games, books, TV and other distractions, but I definitely notice it. It's a side effect of ten years in an orchestra--you notice music. ;)Please Log In to post.
