Who's your guitar god? And what song has your favorite solo? Also, if you have one, who is your favorite guitarist that probably isn't well-known?

Mine...

Guitar god: Angus Young (EDIT: Or Jimi Hendrix; both are great)

Favorite solo: Back in Black

Favorite unknown guitarist: Randy Bachman (Bachman Turner Overdrive)

Jason Becker, the level of beauty in his music cannot be quantified with words.

EDIT: Thought I'd link a few songs.

Altitudes

Air

Speed Metal Symphony (In the band Cacophony with Marty Friedman)

End Of The Beginning (You want the second one down)

Sweet Baboon

He was with Whitesnake and David Lee Roth. Don't know about if he was with Ozzie.

Which song? I knew I'd heard them associated before, but I don't know why I know if the relationship was so minuscule.

Actually I made a mistake, he only cowrote one song with Ozzy, it's called "My little Man", Zakk Wylde actually plays on the album.

Yeah, I know what you mean, actually if you want more material from him, you should google Guthrie Govan The Fellowship in the Basement Club and download it, it's a bootleg with him playing some Jazz standards with his band, it's really good. You should also check this guy out, he should be releasing his first album soon, I hope.......

It's too hard for me to pick one, so: Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Guthrie Govan (Great guitarist who can play anything), Steffen Schackinger (very unique guitarist) and Neil Zaza (should be more known).

Jeff Loomis. He is the king of shredders IMO.

Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan are the guitar God's of regular rock for sure.

Buckethead is also insane.

Wow he's playing style is pretty cool, I'll be sure to stay tuned for his album. I see that he has had a little jam session with Guthrie too, they're out of their minds.

Yeah they're both nuts. He and Guthrie have this cool Jazz phrasing, I wish I could play stuff like that..........

Guitar God: My personal favorite is John Frusciante, but if asked I'd say that Jimi Hendrix is the best

Dave Suzuki. He's definately one of the best guitarists out there. I don't really have a favorite solo. Also, Dave Suzuki is unknown to the majority of the public, so I guess he counts for that, too.

The guys from Suicide Silence. Saw them at a festival where they were programmed at 11AM and they were 100% flawless, while going all out. That was amazing.

This opinion may make me sound like a fanboy, but I don't care. To me, Dimebag is the greatest. The man was a master of riffs and solos. Even so, my favorite solo isn't his. My favorite is the first part of Ride the Lightning solo, by my favorite band Metallica.

Miika tenkula of the band Sentenced , he was a genius when it came to melodic solos , i know there are many great guitarist out there who are fast and all , but speed doesn't impressed me , to me best music is simple and creative music , anyways check out some of his solos .

David Gilmour, no contest.

And to prove how awesome he is, here is him playing the same song, only with a completely different improv'd end solo.
