Do you ever DL/buy more music just for the reason of having more music? I just realized I only have 875 songs, and for some reason have a strange urge to DL mass amounts of music. Has this ever happened to you?

I do that, moslty form discovering new musicians or word of mouth etc. Once I find a band I like remotely i pretty much download all their songs i can get. I have 1,095 sogs right now. Some music fans would laugh at my small library.

I only get what I like. I would never get so much music to the point where I don't have time to listen to everything I got -- if I made my collection little by little, then it would be easier for me to listen to the music and remember more because I have time for it.

I don't buy or download anything I won't listen to. If I'm trying something out and I don't like it I usually just delete it. Now if I actually like some band or artist, that's a whole different story. I get everything can. Hopefully in small enough doses that I can actually soak it all in.

There's only ever been onetime I ever downloaded music (I always buy CD, or Vinyl if it's available), And that was because I got 20 free iTunes, so I got the exclusive Heavy Heavy Low Low iTunes track that wasn't on 'f*** it?!...'.

With the rest I downloaded The Black Parade in it's enetirety, burned it to 200 cd's (they were free) and gave it away. Not because I think it's good, but because I stopped MCR getting about 2 grand that they don't bloody deserve.

Well, I download masses of music from bands and genres that I like. I then go through it all and rate everything 3, 4, or 5 stars, and delete what would have been a 2 or 1 star to me (I just don't have 2 stars, and 1 stars are reserved for educational audio files and such). I then segregate the 3 stars and re go through them and delete the ones I know I'll 'skip' whenever I listen'. I then take the remainder and put it on my creative zen vision m and rerate them, this time between 1 and 5 stars.

Yes I have a lot of music, I keep floating between 2900 and 3100.

I don't buy just for the sake of having. I buy for the sake of listening. I "only" have 379 songs in my music library, and I'm set for now...

I only downloaded songs back before kazaa and stuff were deemed illegal. Now I buy all my CD's. I have bands that I like, that i try and finish off the discography for, and I'm always looking for new bands to listen to.
